Many Thanks but how do I change the password and which one to change?

On the main page of the sineoji app, select the i symbol.

Go to user

Under admin, change the password. Do the same for operator and observer or guest.
Then click on save.

Is the promotion still valid for the free mounting and installation from Sineoji ?

Contemplating between the PT603 and PT713.

Yes if you get it from sineoji estore.

To me, the 603v is more than sufficient, is wide enough 140 degrees unless you are staying in a landed house.

Noob question. Do I still need router that support ddns for accessing sineoji cam remotely from mobile phone?

Or does the camera have some ddns client that can communicate automatically with the sineoji app for remote access?

I used to have to set ddns for my old dlink camera.

You don't need any ddns nor port forwarding on your router.

Have your phone connected to your wifi, make sure you select the 2.4 band first.

Download the sineoji app from the app store.

Open up the app

Hit the + symbol
One key
Enter your wifi password
Hit Start
After 60 seconds, it detects your CAM with the cam ID
Select the cam ID
Enter the default password of cam as admin
Hit save

That's it.

Thanks. So seems like the camera is communicating with some private sineoji server and authentic and access is via their server.

I believe Panasonic used to have similar features.

Concern is would sineoji make it a paid service for remote access.

nah, don't worry

sineoji is not those "cloud storage" ipcam brands

the only thing u pay is the camera.

why would you pay extra just to view? makes no sense

I bought one of those pnp cloud based cctv camera. and I noticed the traffic is routed to some servers in china and alibaba cloud servers.

So please make sure you don't point and show those highly private stuff as theoritically someone else can see those.

For those who are interested to buy Sineoji should just buy thru their e-store
- they will help you link to your wifi
- they will recommend the place to install your cam
- trunking will be done (a surprise for me)

U will have to do all these on your own if you get it from the stores yourself. So far happy with the product and the great service by dean

When u say sleep u don't mean turn off right? If so No. If there's low activities e fan slow down but my NAS will always stores e images all my cameras are putting.

he meant hibernate / sleep mode. Means the NAS will go into either state until there is a packet trying to get in and wakes up from it. Your NAS though, is power-on the entire time just reducing power intake only.

Yes my NAS is powered on all time if there's no activities it'll go into hibernation mode. However when there's a file transfer it'll wake e NAS. Hence to answer e previous question if e NAS is on sleep mode will it store footages that was recorded by e camera. Answer is Yes, because each time u FTP or NFS to e NAS it'll wake e NAS despite in hibernate/sleep mode.

As the NAS May take sometime maybe like 20 seconds or so to wake up from hibernation, I’m concerned there will be like 20 seconds of footage gone, which may be critical in some cases, like some one tries to destroy your camera and didn’t manage to capture the fellow face

some camera like the d-link will append footage to the front of the recording.

i.e 10s before and after the motion started.
