No MicroSD Card Slot. U will be better off with H6837WI (H.264 recordable to MicroSD Card Slot) @ $99 clearance from MARIX.

Forget about F6836W, its only MJPEG.

better check on the pan function, for both my t7838wip the auto pan mode will stop by itself after an hour. currently no one from marix is able to give the answer or remedies

Have you called them? If you had purchased from them, I'm pretty sure they will answer your enquiry when you call them. But if you didn't, don't expect them to provide support for you

called, even vstarcam (manufacturer) cant provide marix the remedies how can they answer our queries? they did their own test on few units, same firmware .170 they just stops at different timing after auto pan.

can users of t7838 set it to auto pan and see if it stops by its own

Could you advise when did you call MARIX and whom did you speak to? Our internal call tracking system didn't not have any recordings or entries of calls from any of our customers asking about pan/tilt of our cameras. Could you also provide us the serial number of your unit?

T7838 users note

The Super Client software updater does not work. To get the latest version you will have to download it from here. Click to go to Vstar. Save your camera setup. Uninstall the old and install the new. Import your camera setup.

The latest version is 1.2.4.547 and the alarm function does now indeed work for the 7838. It does not work in version 545.

Hi, I am looking for a surveillance set up with 2 cameras (day + night) with ability to record to a network attached storage (NAS) or Linux server (via ftp, etc).

Just to check if you have any recommendation. Budget-conscious so looking for an okay solution (need not be top-notch).. e.g. between S$100-120 per cam.

Anyone has successfully connect foscam 9821w with singtel 2wire router? I can see the ipcam locally but no luck when use my samsung s2 or other laptop..

Hmm...Foscam ipcam is not so popular as I thought. A few local owner only I guess.. not much extra information..

Let me share my experience with prolink ip cam pic1006wn. Bought it as of its great spec, real pnp, nas recording, etc.

But during power on, quite frequent it show disconnected or cam was offline.

Means you cant even see live view even you connect to same router!. It totally fail as it function for 24/7 security.

End of story. Ask for refund and waste on delivery charges and time

Sorry no offence to prolink but it's fact. The only advantage is it can record direct to nas.

I have gotten a vstarcam H6837 as a gift. Was using it the past 2 weeks but have this problem where the speaker on the camera will 'on' and produce a loud echo sound, when Im viewing the camera via my mobile in Listen Mode. It has happened few times and we have to off the camera immediately.

The sound is so loud that it wakes my baby up and gave her a fright. Anyone know of the resolution on this ? My friend also has a set but do not have this problem.

Try firmware upgrade first, if not, contact whom sold your friend the camera and get a RMA.
