Second short review from MARIX on NEO's NIP-09BHEWA2

Well, today in our test lab, we tested using both QNAP & SYNOLOGY NAS to
record video from the camera and has successful done so without a problem.
So, we can safely say that recording from the 2 type of NAS are supported.

You may also use the web UI to record to a remote location like a NAS, but
same limitation as Foscam, when you web UI is closed, recording stops.

More review will come in soon.

Good news everyone. The Vstarcam H6837WI will be Wireless B/G/N supported, stocks arriving within 1-2 weeks. Bro geckoSG, do contact us for your firmware & webUI upgrade.

After the upgrade, your camera will be able to support both B/G/N & Wireless N only

Strange, H6837WI and the Neo camera's pictures gone in this thread. Violates T & C?

Guess so, won't be surprised... So, I guess the only way to see new product introduction is to wait for Dr_Archer to go get the models and post here.

Anyway, appreciate MARIX for their gesture to provide the demo links. I'm sure alot of people will appreciate their part of allowing the general to test a product before buying and provide so detailed information of the cameras.

Many competitors could be red-eyed by now from the attention they are getting for their little effort.

Hope to see them come back soon with the NEO review which was promised.

Sorry guys, we can't post anymore reviews here on the products earlier on. All postings were deemed as advertising. So, we'll be doing the reviews on our own site, blogspot, forum instead.

No links will be posted here as well. But tech savvy will know where to find us. Just Google! :D

Bro,

I'm on fibre. ONT to DIR-825, port forwarding no issue. So, wat is your current config?

starhub

Terminal Point (TP) -> Optical Network Terminal (ONT) -> Residential Gateway (RG) -> Router

tried

foscam FI8918W connected via wifi to my router Dlink dir-825.

RG(HG256) acts as bridge as i DMZ it.

DDNS configured on RG(HG256), Foscam ddns configred also. Dlink port forward - fail

DDNS configred on RG(HG256), Foscam DDNS disabled. Dlink port forward- fail

DDNS configured on RG(HG256), foscam DDNS disabled. Dlink virtual gateway - fail

DDNS configured on RG(HG256),Foscam DDNS configured. Dlink virtual gateway - fail

have not try to let my foscam connect to RG..

You mentioned RG is configured as bridge, so Dlink router is the one connected directly to net. Don't configure ddns on RG, do it on your Dlink or install client on pc.

After that enter your ddns host (from any internet enabled browser) into your browser see if you can see your Dlink router admin page to test if your ddns working. Or ping your ddns host see the IP is similar to the wan ip in your dlink.

Previously I used dyndns but it sometimes fail me, so changed to no-ip, so far so good. You may want change another too.

Why don't you use the DIR-825 Virtual Server instead? Much easier to manage. Also remember to allow WAN access via the Firewall of the Dlink.

Hi Dr_archer,

I tried virtual server. Doesn't work. Previously before I use fibre I used normal cable modem.. It works perfectly. Now because I used fibre, i bridged my RG already. Nvm I will try ur method too. Thanks dr archer!

hi dr_archer and spell.

Do you have a guide to do DMZ? i followed this Bridging Huawei HG256s & D-Link DIR-855 « Blog | lesterchan.net

is it right? however i tried ddns on my dlink and off on RG.. doesnt work. pinging to my ddns shows the correct WAN IP but it's the RG IP. means my DMZ isn't right?

edit* tried to put ddns on my dlink. it redirected to RG login page instead.

Hi, we've tested both QNAP & SYNOLOGY NAS, both NAS are able to record from the camera. However, you can't set the recording from camera to remote NAS yet. The development team says they are still working on this portion.

does it record all the time or can it be set to recording only when there is motion in certain portion of the view?

at the same time can i check if any of these camera come with option to connect to exteral mic and or speaker?

Which one are you asking? Quite a number of their posts were removed from this thread... Why not write in to them via their website?

Sorry reply late, seldom online now. If the wan ip is the ip of your RG, means your RG is not in bridge mode. If it is in bridge mode, your dlink should be the one with the wan ip. (Something like last time ADSL dial up days, Thomson modem as bridge, while the ADSL userid/pw is entered at the router side.)

I believe your case the RG is not in bridge mode, or for some reason cannot be in bridge mode. Why don't you try connect your cam to the RG instead to the dlink, or if must connect to dlink, set it up as a switch.
