MARIX's is $30 local PSB Approved. U want OEM export, I think can get at $15 w/GST at their office at current rate. Its 5V2A. Go for PSB approved one better. China OEM normal ones r cheaper, but safety could b compromise.

Btw, i'll post my entire review for T7833WIP on my own blog instead. Marix under pressure by factory was asked to remove my review as it was deemed not positive. Lolz. So, I'll publish it at my own blogspot so that everyone benefits from the truth.

PS. I'm still running test on the streaming

IP cam on 3G router

Hi, scanned through the thread but couldn't find answers. Never set up a IP cam before but because of business needs now looking to install.

I run a couple of food stalls in hawker centres where we are not able to install broadband internet... so right now we use conventional CCTV system. I would like to have real-time rempte monitoring, so am wondering if there's such a thing as connecting an IP cam to a 3G router connected to Internet on mobile broadband.

And using this set up... wondering how much data it would consume since there's no unlimited mobile broadband plans...?

Anyone here got experience with this?

My second initial testing of the camera, zoomed in wise is clearer than the first time I tested. Wonder what was being done. I'll talk to MARIX on this area to see what is being done to the camera.

Streaming wise, standard is same as the rest of the T series. Today's release of the VSCAM APP 1.9.0 allows me to zoom in and out as normal. More testing coming up...

sorry but $30 is damn expensive for a 5V2A adapter with safety mark, can easily get it for $15 or less at sim lim square. non safety mark adapters way below $10.

Is there such a thing as a IPv6 compliant IP camera on the market now? At least for home use.

OK, I've done a round 2 re-review on the T7833WIP. Found out from vstarcam BBS site that the 3X ZOOM camera needs to calibrate the ZOOMED lens... Personally, I expect some sort of calibration already done based on standard 1X, 2X, 3X ZOOM.

So, MARIX's people did the calibration of the LENs before I login to see. So, this time round, definitely much much clearer on the image. Will post the videos later once I do it tomorrow or so.

Those keen to see can go ahead and google for vstarcamsg.blogspot.sg to view the review, very simple and lesser product photo. Any comments or discussion are welcome.

Hope someone can help me.

Have an existing Dlink DNS-320 ShareCenter.
Can the Dlink DCS-5020L do continous recording on the DNS-320?

How about Dlink's DCS-6010L and DCS-7010L? these 2 IP cams have MicroSD card slots, but can still do continous recording on the DNS-320?

TIA.

Aztech WIPC408HD

Aztech recently launched a HD version of their IP cameras.

WIPC408HD_main.jpg

Like most of the HD cameras, HD resolution is up to 1280x720. The WIPC408HD has pan-and-tilt features and supports IR cut filter. It comes with in-built IR LED illuminators.

Saw this at Fuwell, retailing at S$199.

Bought this last week from Challenger for $189 (members' price).

Could not get it to work. :(

Cannot access from either of my Android phones, the iPad, laptop or PC.

Got it part-exchanged for a D-Link camera.

Hope that one will work... -_-"

Just bought one Dlink 5222L last 2 days @ $279. Setup is really as what they claim 1-2-3 so easy and it's done up & running. What I like best is the Advance Setting page, it's so clear that at the side it explain clearly to you of each section what it does & what's the changes it gotta be.

does this have the ability to activate recording or send you email when it detects sound (not motion)?
