Actually, alot of people does not know that you can set preset position of the vstarcam ip cameras to go to fixed position when boot up. By default the dumb people at Vstarcam did not default this on webui. You need to manually use an Internet Explorer and set it up to move to preset on bootup. Pretty dumb if you ask me, MARIX had requested this all along but alas... dumb manufacturer do not listen to an experienced company And do not understand the needs of consumers.

hmm, my mileage is different.

Despite setting preset - the preset settings will just "disappear" if it reboots too many times (previously i have this auto reboot issue) with vstarcam.

I set it via webui to preset position 1. The camera still pointed to the rear. Really pissed off.

I have one of the model, 492V. So far so good, the camera's video quality and the panning responsiveness is good on both wifi and mobile data.

I am interested on the PT593, can I test it out before getting it ? It will be great if you can test it out in my office :D

I have both the 492 and 593...593 offers everything the 492 has, including the responsiveness, but with a slightly wider viewing angle of 125 degrees.

You can adjust sharpness, contrast, brightness, saturation, IR-Cut (kick-in time) etc. via Webui. Quite fun to play around if you know how.

Hi,

PM a number where I can reach you so that I can schedule a visit to your premises for the demo.

Meanwhile here is a screenshot where you can see the difference in terms of the viewing angle between the PT492V and PT593V. The PT593V incorporates a 125 degrees horizontal viewing angle.

Many thanks for the excellent service for a live demo at my place...got the Sineoji PT593V from leon.

It serves my needs with the 125 degrees viewing. Camera was responsive too.

For those who are looking for an ipcam, you will never go wrong. They provide home set up service with the live demo before you decide to get them.

Sineoji IP Camera

Bought 3 units of Sineoji PT 495V at IT show. Although I have some configuration problems, the technical support provided by Dean is excellent. No time is wasted as he is quick in identifying and resolving the issues. Most importantly, he is approachable and is not eager to brush your issues aside without ensuring that they have been satisfactorily resolved. On one occasion, my IP camera was faulty. The warranty centre was swift in replacing it with another unit instead of requiring you to leave it with them for repair.

So far video quality is good and after Dean performed the software update on the IP camera, it is more responsive and can be easily controlled on the mobile app.

I have a wired CCTV surveillance system ( with cameras and DVR ) and everytime i switch off the modem and router , and i log in again , im unable to view the camera either on my PC or handphone. I have done some reading and i think its due to the dynamic IP address of the cameras . Someone advised to me change my router to the more expensive router like ASUS ac3200 or 2400 . Another suggestion is to assign a static IP to the cameras , however the cameras that i'm using seems to be unbranded and im not sure how to configurate them. i'm a real noob with IT stuff , so hopefully i can find an easy solution to this. Unfortunately the CCTV guy has MIA on me , and not answering my calls.

anyone can help , thanks !

pardon my question, i hope this is the correct place.

may be changing to a new maid soon, thus i want to install CCTV.

the brands i read from the newest 3 pages, all never hear b4.

HWZ wrote something about SPOTCAM lately.
http://www.hardwarezone.com.sg/revi...ed-video-camera-indoor-and-outdoor-monitoring

can some kind soul assist to weigh the pros and cons?

objective:
there is sometime when the maid will be at home with the baby alone, say 1-2 hours on weekdays.

thus, i want at least 2 cam
1) main door pointing inwards to living area
2) living area, pointing towards my room
3) outside my home

my modem is always on, thus wifi is no prob.

what else do i need to consider? power source, i can get my trusted technician to run wires easily.

thanks,

thanks,

1. will recommend wide angle lens (>105degrees - usually around 125degrees)
2. you need power source, thats all - as long your house wireless network are pretty covered (where the cameras are gonna be)

if you can install it yourself, most brands are fine.
if you prefer professional help at no cost, get Sineoji - their service is one of the best one around. Probably the only one.

Get an ASUS AC56U or any routers that supports their factory DDNS, thus you need not pay for DDNS subscription per year. Then, configure port forwarding on your router and static IP on your DVR. This will do.

Engage a company to do this one time, no need to change more hardware and you have a better internet experience

Actually, some brands were around for a year or two already. Its the reliability of the companies and their support.

Like for instant, Zafego is something new from MARIX whom have been in the industries for 6 years already. They started from Foscam, to VStarcam and now their own OEM.

in marix.com.sg website, their estore, each camera have a demo link for you to self test prior to buying at your own convenience, so you do not feel cheated if its advertised differently like false night vision images, etc.

Some stores have demos at site for you, but mostly these are just LAN ~ LAN configuration which will not give you true experience over 3G/4G.

So, test each and then decide which is best for you.

MicroSD Cards wise, 64GB is around $29.90 at Challenger for Strontium.
I recommend Zafego for its audio & recording, video images wise, everything else is the same. Sineoji's camera have wide angle lens. So, its up to your decision, D-LINK wise, have their NAS to support longer recording. Every product have their own win-win scenarios.

You can request MARIX also to do a site setup and purchase on the spot too. They have extension cables so that you can extend power source up to 7.5m if I still remember correctly safely.

3 x SD card - go get outside, likely cheaper.
What electrical ?
If you need a NAS, i don't think Sineoji will provide.
