Next to Arcade is City Money Changer 862 no matter how much you change.

Called Arcade money changer this morning to ask for the rate and he replied they will no longer quote price over the phone & website. They kinda shut off the website i guess.

Should have change at 870

Haha thanks for checking with them. Guess a lot of people were like us, check their website then go elsewhere change cause their rate is slightly lousier than the 2nd floor ones.

Haha paiseh really wasn't trying to target you or anything. Was just suggesting reasons why people might not bother.

In fact since you've shared about it, when I go to Korea in April, I think I will try out the money changer in Myeongdong.

But I can only do a partial change because will probably be outside of Seoul for the first half of the trip. Hope it's not hard to find!

On a separate note, Arcade money changer's website down since yesterday leh. Cannot even kpo and see rate. Hope it's not permanent haha.

Heh sure I understand, no worries. For people who'll be in Seoul city and could head down to Myeongdong easily, should just only change the minimal needed in SG, save the trouble of quoting 3-4 money changers here just to squeze out that few korean wons more. It's probably wiser and more efficient to just head down to one in Myeongdong and do it there painlessly since they always offer about 8-10 krws more than any money changers in SG.

Are you sure you got the correct store? I went in Feb too (last week of Feb), on three occasions, all yielded higher rate than SG's Arcade. I can post the pictures of receipts here. Anyone who's there now and who had experience going to the exact Myeongdong one before can also please verify, I'm pretty sure that store offers much higher rates than in SG.

Third pic is from a random money changer at Seoul station, easily higher than SG, during that day I remember Arcade was only offering 858.

It's this store, I took this pic when i was there, and the second receipt pic posted above was taken there and then, you can see the floor tiles. I guess anyone who really want to check can try calling them based on that number there.

Anyway I am just sharing a good find, not trying to prove or win anything.

Is korean won higher than Singapore dollar? If S$1 we get about 865 won, then 1000 won is like a dollar, we get less than a dollar. I find it hard to believe that Sing $ is lower than Korean won. Correct me if Im wrong.

10,000.00 KRW = 11.4153 SGD
50,000.00 KRW = 57.0763 SGD

if everything over there min 50,000.00 KRW then it will be very sostly..

10,000.00 KRW is just nice....
