I do not have Youtrip. I brought Trust cc with me to Korea. So far so good. Rate is definitely better than normal cc.

Ive never seen paywave but that doesnt mean it isnt available

Read that samsung pay and apple pay are available in Korea.

I usually use physical card with a chip.

Yes you can only use the smart exchange feature for krw, can't lock in good rates as compared to other currencies like jpy.

Street food mostly range from $2 to $5... metro is roughly abt $1.50 to $2 if travelling within Seoul...

so do your own estimates...

enough.just got back and change $300 for streetfood+tmoney
shopping centres/shop/cafes all use youtrip.
