Nappa is a type of super soft leather. Daresay finer than calf and used more for gloves

Why dont u write the full name of the product you got. But shld be fine

Yea neutral Conditioner is fine. For cream though most people prefer the coloured variety to restore colour

I've gotten this ... Any comments?
Thanks

The Saphir MDO Nappa Leather Balm is a special leather conditioner for delicate leathers, such as goat skin, veal, and boxcalf. It's gentle formulation does not contain any solvents, which could damage more delicate leathers, such as nappa, and will not alter the appearance or the finish of the leather.

Extremely gentle formulation safe on most delicate leathers.

Does not contain any waxes - will not alter unwaxed surfaces.

Formulation based on jojoba oil and wheat protein.

Will nourish leather without affecting color or texture.

Can also be used as a conditioner for normal calfskin.

Made in France.

Reckon it's for nappa leather such as bags like the leather Tumi and small goods like nappa wallets. Don't know if it's okay for shoes.
It's Tangs, bring the receipt back and the product unopened. They will refund you with vouchers instead of cash refund.
Ever got a saphir beaute du cuir creme surfine polish instead of medallie d'or polish. Went back returned it and all is good.

I think it may be cheaper to just buy new sneakers. People resole because the leather upper is expensive and develops a patina over time. The leather can last longer than the soles. Sneakers use cemented construction, after you fix the midsole and outsole, dunno if the insole and fabric can last.

Cemented outsole easy to replace, not sure about mid sole.

Thanks again, will consider the above costs before proceeding.

According to the folks in the leather and shoe industry, the sales person from Saphir literally daps his fingers into the cream and put it on his tongue as part of the salesmanship. Also giving the vendors the confidence that Saphir cream is non-toxic.

I really admire the dedication of that sales person if it were true. Really putting his life on the line for the product.

Sounds urban legend to me. I doubt the non-toxicity of Saphir is of concern to vendors compared with the product performance and ultimately, consumer demand of the product.

Fitting shoes from Josh leong, look at that handsomely defined chisel toe, only by exceptional handlasting you can achieve that. And im happy to see that wooden shank..looking forward to the final shoes...

Guys, I'll be making a purchase of Fred & Matt overshoes on Friday. http://www.fredandmatt.com

They are a bit pricy but I think they look better and offer more protection than Swims.

These are made by a company in Sweden where there is a lot of rain and snow. There is a review by shoe snob as well http://www.theshoesnobblog.com/2016/04/fred-matt-overshoes.html

I'm on their page now and it's S$188 per pair, with a S$47 shipping fee (they only have DHL express option). Shipping fee is the same no matter how many I buy, so PM me if any of you are interested also, and we can share that cost.
