Trial and error or Beg people to let you try their shoes.

Imho will be no. I think those shoes are honestly not going to move. People who apprec them know where to get them much cheaper n people who don't... Don't.

In the meantime, appreciate the opportunity to try albeit no half sizes before they get pulled out of sg retail market

Ahah I've tried the capital last before, unfortunately 9 (which is what I thought I was ) was too big and 8 was too tight. The logical thing is a half size, but would prefer to have the chance to try first I guess. Heh.

Btw on polishing - for brogues how do you make sure you don't have wax/cream stuck at the stitches or corners where the leather overlaps?

Don't bother too much about the holes in brogues. Your brush can easily take care of that.

Hi everyone,

what i am going to share might hurt your wallets a little..

Carmina launched an online MTO customisation for their shoes, along with a 30% off promo code of "welcome-customisation" for only 5th and 6th November.

I played around with the options and a pair of loafers came out to be at about EUR 318 = SGD 480, inclusive of free shipping to SG. (After 7% GST & Admin charge, probably another $50)

Comparing to what most online retailers or local stores do offer, do your maths.. Happy shopping!

Hi everyone. Seeking advice on Carmina sizing. If I'm a 6.5UK on Uetam, do I size down for Inca since it is wider? Looking at a pair of DM in Inca last in 6UK. Thanks in advance!

Hey man, Inca isn't much wider actually. It's an Almond shaped last. Still sleek.
I wear same sizes in Uetam at Inca although I only have Uetam Loafers. Tried Inca last at the Carmina shop couple weeks back. They have a couple of models but limited sizing. Go down and have a go at the Inca models before you pull any trigger online.
** they do have a Inca DM in the local store.

Thanks dude. I'm tempted by the customization offer now. No time to rush to the store to try Inca unfortunately. Darn I should have tried when I was there. Do you wear your Uetam at 8.5UK?

Less than a hundred bucks for a pair.... you can't be expecting much. For daily use you're probably better off with pedro. Buy like 3 pairs so that you can rotate :D.

I went down to metro centerpoint to try on loake 1880 capital last aldwych. Seems like capital last is slightly larger. I'm size 9.5 on Carmina rain last, but fits well on size 9 capital last. Anyone else has the same experience?

These 2 advices came just at the right time. Ordered a pair of burgundy split toe in Rain 10 as I am on Loake Capital 9.5. Total 360Euro after adding a shoe tree and free shipping to SG.
