For Loake 1880, is it considered a step up from Llyr/EEA (or half step at least)? Metro Centrepoint and Heeren are the best places to try?

Is it possible to get quality handwelt at sub 1k?

I would say Carmina is slightly better in terms of quality vs Yanko. Is it worth it?
That is another whole debate altogether.

Vibrams are also much more grippy.

Its been almost a year since I got a dainite pair and its still plenty shitty on wet/oily tiles aka Kopitiam

The winter weight is perfectly fine in our weather to me personally. The summer weight is extremely thin - too thin for my liking. Think of the winter weight to be something like the Uniqlo pairs but slightly thinner. One thing I realized in the recent order I made was that the sizes seem to be running a little bigger than before. Don't know if others experienced this as well.

Their EU/UK/US sizing differs slightly from standard charts. I experienced this when I ordered in EU 43.5 and UK 9.5 to find out they were different sizes.

Majority of Enzo and all of Vass are Handwelted.

Carmina and Yanko are Goodyear welt.

Apparently KS just simply ordered a large consignment to flog himself. Nothing changed regarding distris.

IMO general construction and QC they are the same.

But in terms of styling and leather availability, Carmina currently comes out ahead.

But hearing now Lusso is bringing in a batch of Cordovan Yankos. :s12:
