How is Carmina Simpson and Rain last compared to Loake Capital last?

U.K. 9 in capital last. Appreciate advice, thanks!

I wear UK9 in Rain and Capital lasts.

I have Simpson in UK9 as well (fits me well in shop), but is a killer ever since.

Thanks for the reply, will wait until 25 November then! Will also take a closer look / try on the yankos to check fit and design.

I think Yanko tends to run a bit big and their last is a bit too chunky (I only have a pair in 915 last). I think Carlos Santos may be closer to Carmina in term of the silhouette and quality.

But, Enzo is on another level.

Your split toe monk in Simpson?
I go 8.5UK in Rain last and 9UK in Simpson.
I've find when I tried Carmina Monks, the flex area when I walked flexes weirdly. Probably due to foot.
The single split toe monk in Simpson I tried in SG shop pretty must feels stiffer than the lace ups in Simpson..

Yes. single monk (split toe).
Fits perfect in the Paris shop, horrible when i return.
I realised after this that my feet is bigger in the morning/day.

Would like to know more myself. Admittedly am a shoe noob still.

Have only a few pairs worth mentioning, Carmina double monks, Yanko full brogues and a penny loafer from Llyr.

In terms of wearing experience, the carmina wears very 'hard' and rigid even after a few wears to break it in. Perhaps my foot is not suitable for the simpson last?

I'd like to know more about meermin, prices seem very attractive... How's the quality of it? Seems to be a pretty quiet brand.. Havent been able to see one in flesh so not sure if it will be worth taking the risk of ordering online...

Which of the 3 pairs is your favourite? Will be interested to hear more

But do agree that their lasts run a bit large. Only their oxfords are true-to-size for me, everything else size down 0.5

Hmm in order of comfort for me:

1. Llyr
2. Yanko
3. Carmina

In terms of aesthetics:

1. Carmina
2. Yanko
3. Llyr

Again, as advised by previous posts.. I think its a fit problem for me.. I got the Yanko's 0.5 size too big and 0.5size too small for carmina which I bought blindly without trying them first

Check out TM's carousell if it's the same pair u r looking for. If it's the same pair n u r seriously considering, a good deal is in store for u!

TM shoe size is similar to me, too bad all the shoes that I wanted are sold.

Gents, could someone educate me on the advantages of using an applicator brush instead of using an old shirt / rag when applying renovator / polish?

I have stuff not on carousell, and not on IG that I don't mind parting ways with. If you have something in mind, drop me a PM and I'll see if I have it.

perfect sense, fit is most important for shoes which is why i am hesitant to buy online..

Question on shoe tree, bought a pair for 39/40 from TB but they seem too big for my size 40 shoes. Can't really squeeze them in unless I use quite a fair bit of muscle. I will guess the shoe trees are too big and need a size smaller?
