Bumping the GMTO. Still looking for 1 more participant to make this GMTO a reality!

1. Arcfire
2. All in a Day
3. anodize
4. ?????

Model: Button shoe (not boots)

Design: Plain captoe balmoral style with plain stitching.

Sides will be like pic A below and not the straight across kind and there will not be broguing. I've confirmed through Lusso that the notched balmoral pattern can be done and likely without upcharge.

Color: Black calf for bottom, Loden suede for top. There will be a centre line where the lace will be as with all button boots but we will use the same suede material so there will not be a contrast there like what you see in pic B. Pic C is the pairing of the 2 materials to give a better idea of what it would look like. Alternatively, if the participants want to meet at Lusso to take a look at the swatches themselves to discuss, I'm fine with that too.

Sole: Preference for single sole with topy. I might want to ask for a bevelled waist thrown in.

Last:Likely to be 804

Pic B pretty much sums up the design of the shoe sans the contrasting centre line on the suede part and the seam that runs on the side of the shoe.

Anyone out that that is keen, let me know! :D

I'm planning to run it through Lusso if we get enough people on board.

Actually they can do indepth to a certain degree. Just need to give them pictures and pay the additional pattern fee. Well at least thats what he told me when I wanted to have a longwing chukka (but changed my mind later).

Making a 2nd pair for my wife now. With padded collar, will see how it turns out.

I see, maybe that time they either misunderstood or what say cannot haha. Next time can try more.

Actually Junkard is slightly more expensive than Txture but offer 1 free resole. Considering the shipping cost, not much value unless you happen to ship a few pairs to share shipping.

Actually both the exact same amount IIRC (+-$5), after checking my bank statement. (Comparing to my previous Txture Warhorse boots, but maybe all my Txture shoes are using either Dainite or Itshide, so already additional $20 USD)

SkoaB's choice of the new maker is certainly a big disappointment.
Gosh. Wonder why would they want to stock up on that crap.
Apart from EB on odd stock, and stuff done in Tärnsjö, I believe my relationship with them is done.

Wow... May I know why you think that way of the new maker? Just curious to further my understanding.

Well, getting an international GMTO going will be easier than an SG one..

Not so much a concern for someone who already has as vast an EB collection as you lah.

JL is yet another example of overpriced northampton crap.
Miniscule, insignificant "improvements" in overall quality of materials or methods. Same GYW construction.
Lots of marketing hype.
Relying on old glory days of their predecessors, which the present day version is a far cry from.

An increase in price, does not equated an equivalent increase in quality.

Actually not quite. We've had quite a bit of success getting gmtos going.
Within a month, we've got 2 under way. And preliminary verbal agreement on the details of probably another 2 more, for early 2017.
The local shoe crowd is actually surprisingly strong, receptive to EB, and very easy to work with.
In fact, I think the average angmoh is much more annoying.
All that's needed, is a bit of cooperation, direction, and whatsapp.

Hope in the future, theres a place/site/instagram/facebook to see all ongoing gmtos for lusso. :s13:

Been lurking for very long, decided to create an acc to post my loot from last week.

Managed to snagged this pair at Ed Et Al's clearance sale. As I am not very particular about my shoes, I have always gotten cheaper shoes (think GEOX and Pedro). But seeing that this pair was retailing only at 100$, I couldn't help myself. (First GYW shoes!)

Could not post proper link due to new acc. Can anyone let me know what design/model is this? Can't seem to find it online! Thanks!

Looks like City Hall II but why do you need to know?
Wasn't that difficult to find online.
