some people seriously, want to ask opinion about something need to purposely put something at the backdrop.

oh ya back to qns. i forsee the shoe will be as ugly as the owner.

You sure can get this for US300? Can you help me to buy few? THANKS!

DW? Really?? Considering u've already had experience with them and Ed.

On the same topic, not sure if mto is doable below $1k for Ed anymore....

I went to them with that heel problem and they are taking it seriously, they will do for me a complete make over for the shoe plus additional perk...

I will share the photo when it is done. I appreciate their services and would not rule out to give them a second chance.

And yet you would still buy DW shoes knowing that they're terrifically overpriced? =s

well I am not sure if it is an apple to apple comparison.

I paid DW for $850 and Ed for $750.

With DW, they measured my feet and make the shoe according to my profile. I can ask them to tweet a little like make the front wider. With choice of patina of course. No shoe tree was provided.

With Ed, I only get to try one of the sample shoe in their show room. No measure of feet. Can ask for small tweet and choices of patina as well. Shoe tree was provided.

So how you compare?

GYW vs Cemented or shoddy Handwelted.

Fundamentally DW shoes are poorly built.

I would only say i value the end product more than the process. Not necessarily for u, apparently.

In fact i would be more disappointed if the 'more detailed n personalised process' (which i think is what u r alluding to) results in a poorer product.

The other cheap local online custom shoe which starts at $180 could even be a better option than DW. Blake stitched but I didn't try before so I don't know about the quality and finishing. But at that price how to find fault

I treasure overall customer experience... for pre-sale, final product quality and post-sale support.

I dont even know why I even bother to illustrate construction methodology and what is a quality product sometimes lol. :s22::s22::s22:

Hopefully enough folks have had enough takeaway to make it worthwhile...

Well people say that a fool and his money are soon parted... but its their money after all and who are we to tell them how to spend it :s13:

I usually wear this brown shoe with kaki pant, do you think my blue color Ed shoe goes well with kaki pant?

I think your shoe is brown, not blue. Also is not very nice and probably needed a shoe tree and your kaki pants seems super baggy and you are married.
Nice pam btw. Reminds me of someone always posing christian louboutin with watch.

I would treasure experience too, where the end product is a constant to the ''equation". I might even tolerate a slight trade-off. But between Ed n DW shoes, my choice would be pretty clear. Anyhow, good luck with your next shoes commission!
