My 39 fits into my uk6 simpsons nicely.

Chickenbutt will collect his lot this sat, he can add in his opinion.

The others who have collected mostly lurkers but would be nice if they could chime in as well.

Fits most of my boots well. Size and width quite accurate, though instep a touch on the low side.

Who ordered and found the sizing inaccurate? :o

Because the shoe trees were manufactured by another company whose workmanship wasn't as good. Hence the shoe trees were not of exact size as stated on the box. But most likely should fit, just that workmanship not as good.

P.S Runs a weeeeeeee bit roomier than calf would in an equivalent size. Think I could have gotten away with my usual uk6 but I'm not complaining, as I'm trying them on with usual thin dress socks and intend to be able to rock thick woolen socks with this pair for Winter.

Which trees? Cedar Green or another shop?

IMO previously mentioned scenario by Donald83 where a uk equivalent tree could not fit into a similar size shoe is more a case of having a bigger sized tree labelled wrongly by the vendor.

So far I've ordered 3x from them and they all fit well/snug.

And by that I mean able to fit well into notoriously lean sculpted lasts like the Simpsons, Rain, New Rey. So should be fine for UK style lasts which tend to run roomier (G&G excluded).

But as mentioned instep is low-medium but that is fine for filling the vamps of most dress shoes.

Boots wise is ok, but still cant compare to a dedicated boot tree with the full instep +shaft support.

The batch of cedar green shoetrees which u ordered were manufactured by another factory instead of their own one.

Btw EEA shoes need to downsize by a few sizes if using the cedar green shoe trees.

Interesting. Do you have the direct source for the factory? Sic pls :s12:

Downsize as in EEA sizes are smaller than common equivalent?

I use the same and even +.5 the size for them as I find that vs Spanish styles, EEA's are of magnitudes roomier. Hence 39 fits Carmina Simpsons UK6, so 39.5 for EEA.

EEA vs my old Herrings about the same width but EEA toebox is longer.

As in if EEA is size 41, maybe need a 37 cedar green shoetree. That's what i observed from others, i personally do not have a pair of EEA though :D

I only know the supplier selling the cedar green shoetrees, that's how i know when the shoetrees are good or not (in terms of workmanship). Cause currently they are using another factory which is inferior.

My EEA 39 vs Carminas Simpsons uk 6(39). Eur 39 Cedar Green in both. As you can see the EEA is wider in width and instep is higher. In fact, it can even be seen that the 39 shoe tree in the EEA is not compressed much against the vamp compared to the set in the Carminas.

Better not size down because u need the tree to maintain tension and push ever marginally against the vamp. Yes, sizing down is easier to slot in and thus has the perception of been the "right fit" but the tension exerted is compromised and the tree is merely inside for the sake of filling space.

Just my little 2 cents :D

FWIW my loakes at 43.5 are more roomy than my 44 EEA. The EEA's are narrower with a lower instep.

My loakes at 43.5 can fit into AQ's shoetrees which are meant for 44 whereas they can barely fit into EEA.
