how is it compared to loake 1880?

can i say at this price, its worth hooting?

do they have such good discount often?

thanks,

Justin leans towards a slimmer aesthetic as compared to loakes and is more daring in his design. Contruction wise, justin used to personally involve himself in the qc of his first few collections. Not sure if that's still true now that his business is ramping up. Materials wise, i think justin has a leg up on loakes. And no, justin normally doesnt hold sales. Just this annual end of year sale to clear stock and bring in his 2016 collection.

Carmina states the width of their lasts on their website. Justin uses UK 'E' width for his current lasts. Length wise they are roughly similar (both say they follow standard length) No comments if you want to compare insteps and such.

Sorry, but JFP is Meermin-level; a little better than Meermin at best. Quality doesn't come close to Carmina.

I thought they would be an intermediate step between meermin and carmina. You don't see as many complaints about JFP as one does for meermin.

They should be similar or rated slightly higher than Carmina

Yes

No

No. Quality of materials used, leaves little to be desired. JFP comes across as pair of meermins with better QC and sleeker, more wearable lasts. But if there's something that really catches your eye, at $260, I'd say go for it.

GC sub, no break in needed, but wrinkles are appearing at odd places... Very soft leather though
