OBSSESSION. Addict. Fetish. Self-DESTRUCTION.

TOLD you guys not to spend so much on upmarket & tailoring already..

End up no $ to even have a proper meal & enjoy the smaller & more fulfilling things in life.

Enjoyment in buying an expensive item can bring you momentarily high euphoria, BUT this feeling wont last long, fade over a short time. On the other hand, buying smaller priced-items over & over again brings more enjoyment due to extension of the enjoyment, albeit at a lower level. This is because although euphoria is smaller, you can keep turning up the level of enjoyment over & over again by spreading your buys on smaller-priced items over a longer period of time. This is the key to lasting enjoyment.

You see, now you got to eat maggie mee torture for one whole year before you can attain your shortlived enjoyment again. Hais.

He who can't buy grapes says the grapes are sour.

Aw come on... Isn't it phrased clearly enough as a joke? Chill, dude.

What wound are you talking about? If it is bespoke, you still get a nice looking pair of shoes that you chose yourself.

Is bestspoke shoe good and great ?

spend within yourself limits, no need to quarrel over 1 pair of shoe.

actually for shoe, im more concern of comfort level and for health reason.

Old already, joint very important.

Bespoke shoes are supposed to fit perfectly right.. So theoretically they are the most comfortable. Unless the maker sucks la, then you are an idiot for choosing the wrong maker.

why so mean? let's all make peace :s25:

I dont know why they are so mean. Just because of a DW shoe. I think they look down on DW. Think that its a lowly brand. To them, they think that there are many other better quality brands ard. I just voice my opinion that we dont need pay so much attention to the finest details. Maybe i am wrong. I dont really take care of my shoes. Then they start saying im a fool who spend more $ always needing to buy new shoes.

Why so edgy? Did you say that your shoes are uncomfortable? As far as I know, you have yet to receive your shoes...

I don't what is he talking about? No one is quarrelling with him. It seems like only he is qualified to give criticism of others and will be deeply offended if anyone does not agree with his views.

I have been nothing but very civil in talking to him. When have I been rude or behave in a snobbish manner.

When taking part in a discussion please be aware everyone is entitled to their own opinions. If you know to to respect others, in due other people will respect your opinion even if they dont agree with you.

I was still hoping to recieve the pack of MOP buttons he promised to send me and see how his DW commision turn out. Good luck with your new shoes and wear them in good health.

Take care and watch out for the door, don't let it hit you on the way out.

If i have the chance maybe i will come back to post the DW, though nobody seems to think much of its quality. Just for the looks maybe.

Only pics of your DW shoes will prove the quality. I'm still waiting for your shoes pics leh.

If the design and comfort is there, it is still 2 points ticked out of 3 i.e. design, comfort, durability. :)

I went to Ed Et Al at the Mill a week ago, looking for some Saphir.

I must say that the Saphir selection is really poor, despite the fantastic customer service. Buying through eBay is really cheaper, more convenient (delivered to your doorstep), and you get a larger selection of products.

shoes depend on individuals and their budget.

There are lots of good brand shoes around the world. A good decent pairs are around $300 Singapore Dollars minimum and that is the entry level. It is always good to buy minimum of two pairs so that you can rotate them around for airing and prevent you from getting fungus and smelly feet. Especially in Singapore due to its s_hit hot and humid weather.

Those shoes I have shown you are the latest designs from Europe and US. I think Italian made the best leather shoes but that is my personal opinion.

I will introduce the brand I like is Berluti and an excellent pair is below.

Gone to Diamond Walker website and browse around. Interesting, no mentioning of leather used in all their shoes. The best thing is, they do not show you the soles of the shoes. The soles is like the soul of the human. :D
Anyway, if you like their designs and the shoes fit your feet. Go for it. They are typical Korean styles of finishing.

This is the most epic post in a long time. Brutal but honest opinion.

But I am afraid there is some misunderstanding, there is no snobbery around. The reference of DW as a joke is due to someone going over to the tailoring threads and saying people who bespoke their clothes are having ego issues, thus leading to a retort.

Besides this, the post is so epic I give my

PS: I get my Korean MTO shoes in less than $100 including shipping straight from Korea, that's why I say DW is a joke.

Let's just drop the topic of DW, shall we? Someone already tried to promote DW here long before this 'flood of hate'.

No misunderstanding or snobbery. AFAIK, it all started with a self-disparaging joke about having to eat grass or maggi mee after buying shoes. Ppl here just need to chill.
