Better to Email them to check on e return for overseas.

Share some Saphir products to share e shipping. More worth it compared to shoes.
Handwelt is better. I think better quality leather is used as compared to the classic line. Free shoe tree as well, I think

Their shoe trees are lasted shoe trees or generic ones?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't all meermin shoes more than 400?

Failing which, if I'm right and if it's not goodyear welted then why pay so much?

I posted previously... Meermin Classic Collection €160 which after deducting VAT (when shipped) out of Europe is €132.23 shipping is €40 (1-2pairs) for overseas

No idea

actually i find it hard to believe that meermin offers handwelted shoes for 400 sgd, seems almost like slave labour to me. not questioning their quality because i think they are excellent for that price (based on looks) and also because they are capable of norwegian (a difficult process). but now i feel like ordering to test for myself.

Labour costs are low ... They're honestly not bad for the price.

Wore a blake-constructed pair of loafers today (I bought this from Bruno Magli a long long time ago) after all the talk about construction. This is the first time in years that I've worn a blake-constructed pair of shoes and it definitely reminded me what it means to walk in comfort -- relatively of course. The soles just moulds and bends in accordance to one's soles when one walks.

Highly unlikely. They probably recommended you size up. I tried Ed's shoes, I wore 39. I wear 6.5 Meermin. It's useless telling them you wear a EU 39 on Ed's shoes. They probably never even handled his shoes before, and can't estimate fit.

How did you measure your feet? What are the steps you took to measure it? How you measure it drastically affects the reading.

Edit: If you feel you're a US 8.5, then go ahead get them according to their recommendation. There's a free exchange policy, right?

This is why I hesitate to buy shoes online.

Even sizing differs for running shoes and dress shoes on my feet. :s22:

hey guys, is zara or beetlebug shoes good enough for a non-exec like me?

Just my opinion. I don't like bettle bug shoes. Insoles wear out in less than a year and I only wear it once a week. They are comfortable initially.

I actually mean the process of measuring, not so much the instrument of measurement. heh.

You should stand flat on a piece of paper. Have somebody mark out the tip of your large toe, and the back of your heel is. Then measure the marks on the paper. After all, measuring your feet when you're seated is different from when you're standing up.

This is why I hesitate to buy shoes online.

Yea, I agree. Though after some time, and with XP, you kinda know what size you'd need to get.

Exec and non exec same one. No such social divide.

Some people, exec or not, care more about brands and heritage.

Some people, exec or not, rather buy once and wear long time, while others prefer to buy affordable ones and just get new ones when spoil.

Just get whichever design you like and is within your price range.

Agree with boysdontcryy, I got Meermin size 7.5 for their double monks. Ed etal double monks I need size 42.

Then again strangely, my AE is size US9.5 but I am wearing thicker socks for that.

My Meermin double monks is size 7.5 for my foot which is 26.5cm long and 11cm wide. Fots a little bit tight with thicker socks, so I had to wear thinner socks for it. I would suggest Meermin size 7.5 for you. If you want to try my Meermin let me know
