U mean like OL wear haviannas n change to heels in ofc? Dun need like tat la!just wear n walk lor. Shoes meant to wear n walk ma. Unless heavy rain then dun choose to wear ur best shoes la

Cannot compare with the ladies. The super tall heels are painful to walk and stand in, in office sit down most of time wear is ok.

Our leather shoes are meant to walk in comfort. No pain factor.

Won't the soles wear off quickly with all the abrasion against the ground?

Any local cobbler can do lost finish? Polish my mermin lwb for the first time and some part of the finish came off, exposing black patch. Sent meermin email and they ask me to send back. Wanted to consult if local cobbler can so that first before sending back.

It is light brown btw. Thanks!

That's poor finishing on the part of meermin.. Not sure what a cobbler can do to get back the same colour tone.. U should send back. Perhaps they will (and they should) replace with a new pair..

The usual polishing method... 1 base coat Saphir rejuventor and 3 coat light brown saphir cream polish...the black patch surface during the first coat cream polish.

Checked with meermin already. They can repair but I need to pay the shipping back so am thinking if I can repair locally first

Wah... I don't think local cobblers can do much to patch/buff that spot back to its original brown color since the leather's original dyed color seems to be dark brown/black? Probably will need to strip and re-dye the entire shoe?

U tried requesting meermin to cover shipping costs given this looks to me like a defect? Provide them your facts. No harm trying. I seriously think it's quite difficult for anyone else u can get locally to restore to original colour/condition. U can seek a few cobblers' opinions like the one at arcade or paragon.

Hi a noob question.. Do you guys simply wear your shoes to work or only change them at your office? The soles of these expensive won't be damaged from walking on all the gravel?
Soles spoil just resole.

Ladies don't wish to walk to work in high heels because they are uncomfortable, nothing to do with wear n tear.

I very much doubt that the leather on the meermin shoe was originally so dark. Usually it starts with a very light color and darkens with use of darker tone shoe polish.

Even in any tanneries, nobody will dye the skins in a dark brown/ black color before making the final product lighter color again. The color progression always follows light to dark. It doesn't make economic or productive sense to work with a darker color, stripping it and starting again.
