ok we try another way to experiment, u drip water onto the affected area, dun rub. before you put any nano protector.

if the water glide away then is painted over if the water form dark patch then more likely to be dyed.

I got them during the first sample sale for S$120. The original color was a very light brown, I've darkened it slowly over time using various brown and mahogany creams.

Yes petiaC, u r right. Seem like acrylic paint. Tested it with water and just glide away. While the rest of the leather show dark patches....

I don't dare to try. I just applied creme polish. Looks ok

Did u get ur carminas fr shop or online? Their shoes are cut beautifully but i suspect narrow

Oddly, of all the leather soled shoes I've worn, these were by far the most slippery when wet. Almost fell down several times when walking on rainy days. Ended up getting Continental topys installed and now they're great as wet weather boots.

Got from ebay actually. As they are loafers, I just got them half an US size than what I normally wear. It ended up slightly long but putting in a heel guard solved the issue. Then again, Queen last isn't their narrowest last so, you might want to go with your exact or size up slightly on the width....

Paint when dried not so easy to remove. But it is just sitting on the surface, if scratched will reveal the dark spot.

Renovatuer is not so abrasive. Avoid the harsh cleaners.

Acrylic paint can buy from art friend and match the exact tone, if the paint needs to recoat.

Wouldn't the acrylic paint crack after some time or if the area is flexed?

Crack i am not too sure only time will tell. I just to flex the area that has been painted over, apparently it is still holding up well....

Based on petiaC recommendation, it is better if wear a few times then topy it. The cobbler will sand it evenly before sticking topy. That way it stick better....
