Does Ed allow the customer to make slight modifications to the last for MTO? Like widen the toebox, lower instep height, narrow the heel etc.

Last time I ask him which was 2 years ago, he will allow some modifications to allow the last to adapt to your foot shape.

I believe that's custom which cost $800. They discontinued this service for new customers as well.

I believe small adjustments require the expertise of Edwin, i.e. he will want to talk to you face to face to properly advise you. At least that was what I experienced last year.

No. My left shoe is made slightly higher than my right. My pair also comes with the shoes made deeper as I use my own insoles. No need to bespoke.

However, I should have made the right instep higher as well. Still feels sore whenever I bind the laces tightly, so I have to allow at least 1cm gap at the laces.

But I think Edetal no longer does customs for new customers. They discontinued this service last year.

I can help with the restoration. For very old leather I will need to spend a couple of days to saturate.

Dress socks need to be thin. Formal socks are stocking thin.

Wear cotton socks is useless in winter.

I worn wool socks in summer and they are all season. Keep your feet dry by wicking sweat away. Not much warmer than cotton imo.

If i want to use a certain last but to do a diff model eg loafer using their rtw derby last. This will be custom n not MTO is it?

I am not 100% sure, but the impression I got is, you can choose the last that most fits you regardless of the model of MTO.

I think you can choose any of their 3 locations. I always like to go to Jln Kilang cos you can park your car right in front and it's free, and it's outside CBD.

I'm not sure whether it has to be with Ed. My past 2 pairs of MTO were communicated through Ed himself.

They turned out exactly as I expected. Quality is good and details exactly as I required. For $500, totally worth it.

Someone mentioned G&G. Generally quite pointy looking. Looks like something that wouldn't work for my wide feet... just as well as I wouldn't be able to afford them either. haha

Depends on the last. While being representative of the typical G&G look, TG73 last isn't for everyone. MH71 is a lot more accomodating for a wide foot, while maintaining some semblance of the sleekness.

Made To Order- Starts from SGD500
For our Made-To-Order (MTO) service, you are able to choose your preferred shoe design from any of our ready-to-wear collections and customise the shoes according to your colour and leather preference taken from our stock leather selection.

For an additional $100, you will also have options such as choosing your preferred shoe last from our current shoe last collection, add or remove medallions, broguing and even personalised initials. Our trained sales team will be able to assist with your design. Various exotic leathers are also available upon request for an additional up-charge.

All our MTO shoes are Goodyear welted and we offer shoe sizes from EU35 to EU50 in 2 width fittings.

Bespoke- Bespoke Shoes: Starts from SGD1,500 and Bespoke Lasts: SGD1,000
Going further, we also offer a bespoke service. Here, we will create a bespoke last that fits the client’s feet as best as possible. There is a one time charge for the bespoke lasts at S$1000.

We will then create fitter models to determine if small alterations are needed. There may be up to 3 or more fittings, depending on how the client feels. Once the lasts are finalized, we will then start work on the actual pair of shoes.

Our bespoke shoes are entirely handmade with all the hallmarks of quality construction and materials used. Our signature finish includes by default a fiddleback sole, bevelled waists, pitched heels, hidden stitching channels, hand carved and hand stitched insoles, etc. Because of the multiple fittings and extensive handwork required, the entire process could take up to 3-5 months for delivery.

Our bespoke shoes starts at S$1,500, with an one time additional charge of S$1000 for the lasts, coming to a total of S$2,500 for the first pair. Thereafter, if no new lasts are needed, each pair of bespoke shoes will only cost S$1,500.

Recrafting - Starts from SGD150
Our recrafting services are currently only available for our own shoes. We can refurbish your favorite pair of our shoes right down to the replacement of the welt if needed. For the price listed, we will take apart your shoes and reconstruct them on a last that best fits them. These can include, but not limited to, refilling of cork fillers, replacement of welt, leather heel stacks, full leather outsoles, rubber outsoles, minor repairs on uppers, refinishing, reconditioning and polishing. Recrafting usually takes about a month till delivery.
