Was asking more from a fit perspective since the comments are that it is a 'tricky' last.

In terms of accessibility and risk of buying dress shoes online, if one is based in Singapore quite frankly, there is only a small handful of brands where u will get the 'luxury' of trying irl. Everything else is a risk. Heck, we have Ballgag prepared to pull the trigger on a 4 digit EG online, though perhaps he might have had a chance to try the shoes before in Europe?

In any case, u nailed the coffin for me with the last line (or from an optimistic angle, saved me some $$), assuming you are speaking with experience or knowledge of the last (which I am sure you have at least one or the other).

Yup I have a couple of pairs. I mentioned the first line becos i have spent money on shoes from meermin and alfred sergant only to find that the lasts are unforgiving and unwearable for more than half a day. Hope that I helped anw.

Ed et al carries cordovan too - from a japanese tannery and horween. However these are only accessible through his mto or bespoke program.

Shell is just a material. It is not so unique that only so few brands use it.. You can include vass and saint Crispin's there, and a hoard of Japanese shoemakers, and you still won't be done.

Anyone who can make reasonably good calf leather shoes can make shell cordovan shoes lah.

They are all RTW shoemakers... So yea, same answer to a differently-phrased question.
