Yea - meant Alvin. Hard to see on iPhone (yay for iPhone 6!). Relatively, they're wider than other shoes. But it also depends on the last. Loake, especially the country shoes, are way wider of course.

Hi. Wondering where I can get a decent cedar shoe tree size 41? The one with high vamp like Bexley. Had the Muji one but the vamp is too low unfortunately. Appreciate your help. Cheers.

Perhaps mason smith can educate us.

Personally i simply use cloth to apply polish n 1 brush to spread/shine thereafter.

I believe application brush (usually round shape with handle) is for use on the hard-to-reach areas like the welt, stitching. Used soft bristle tooth brush works fine for me but some insist horse hair only.

Normally at Mason and Smith we believe in using cloth as we can feel the cremes being applied onto the leather and being pushed into the leather pores too.

The polishing brush is a personal preference. To us we feel that the brush tends to over apply too much creme, some would say the bristles help to apply the cremes thoroughly. It is definitely a personal preference.

The polishing brushes normally are made of 100% horsehair which allows to remove any excess creme left on the leathers and also to really allow the leather to absorb the creme for full moisturizing.

Unfortunately my feet are 'Loake wide', if i may coin the term, haha

I tried G width sizing once and actually felt that I can fit in F.

If you have wide feet, go for G size shoes. Sometimes, it may be a case of a high instep (like me), then you may have to contend with open laced shoes which are a little more forgiving.

Hi there guys,
would like to ask if there is still hope for my shoes. Bought this a year back, wore it once, kept it, and then totally forgotten about it.

When taken out from the box, there are some slight discolouring, or brownish kind of thing on the shoes.

and here, it seems that i have accidentally scratched this somewhere.

Would like to know if it's possible to restore the shoe? Still a beginner when it comes to leather shoe..

hey guys,
recently just bought a pair of black hammer shoes, like 2 months plus ago.
guess what, the front of the shoes, the part where you can bent it ( near the last toe) has a hole already!
i was like wtf.

I have many nice branded shoes, just added vibram soles to a pair. Upper half cost $18
Is this reasonable? I have many more which frankly I don't wear often. I'm wondering if there are cheaper alternatives or cobblers doing vibram soles. I have another 5 to 6 pairs to do

Dont think u need soap unless the leather is really dirty. Just wipe the surface free of dust then can condition

Planning to buy a pair of loafers or double monks for my next show. about 150 ~ 300 would be good? I know of ed, but wanna keep my options open.
