Boys, this pair is a thing of beauty. See how elegant the last is, as compared to that black pointed pair earlier. Y'all may think slim and pointed is sleek and fashionable (they can be, if done well), but Cowculator's are far more elegant, and will NEVER go out of style.

Chelseas are actually very versatile. In black or dark brown, you will see that they are very elegant in suit pants, and very stylo in jeans. I recommend my pair : The R.M. Williams Craftsman in black kangaroo. I think there is also a dark brown yearling that is peng tasty too!

For brogue styles, I must say they are a matter of preference. I'm like brogue shoes. But I find that they do, tend to look less formal in lighter shades, so my colour of choice is dark brown.

Agree totally. I am thinking of getting a chelsea boots for daily wear (as well as a black patent oxford for dinners). Haven't quite decided if I would go for a black or dark brown calf (will go for plain captoe, as opposed to brogue style).

I already have a pair of brogues and 2 pairs of semi-brogues...

Hmmm. Not really a boys thing. Most of the most stylish men are in general in their mid thirties to fifties I think this is especially true when come to shoes.

Thanks. I look for less pointy stuff that are more or less well made. My philosophy is still I won't buy any shoe more than $100. You'd be surprise the kind of things you can find at Bata.

Sigh bata doesn't seem to carry high cut or mid cut for work shoes...

Bata shoes used to be pretty long lasting, but not the greatest comfort. Good value for $70.

Recent designs not so good. The flexi-rubber sole wears down far too quickly.

I'm loving my Grenson Rose shoes.. Do give them a try as well..
Agreed with atypical.. Tricker's shoe shape is too conservative

How about EG and JL? I am quite certain that there is no retailer in S'pore for EG and JL, but not too sure about C&J and Grenson Rose. TIA

They do sometimes, but the boss say due to low demand, they bring very little in. Their sales are quite good, bought mine for half price. Also got another normal ones for $50. The bigger outlets is the main shop at peninsula where you might have better luck.

Nevertheless Church's just opened at Ion a mth back.. Rejoice! Disregard the slight drop in quality & it's still one of the premium english bootmaker brands

Yes, I think we don't have Edward Green here. I didn't check, but maybe Hermes may have John Lobb, since they own it. I assume we're talking about John Lobb Paris, not John Lobb St. James.

Yah, if you give Bata some of your precious time, you can find some treasures there.

But I was very disappointed with their 2nd generation (I assumed) Ambassador line. Miles worse than the 1st gen I bought. Price remain the same affordable and reasonable though, which goes to show that, you can still get ripped-off even if the price remains that same ..... si beh sad .....

Beats my current pair hands down in terms of durability and comfort.

Too bad, the soles were worn out and I couldn't find a suitable replacement.

Yes, am referring to JL Paris. Intend to get the seconds or sale stock. The price of regular stock a bit much for me. For C&J, plal told me that they no longer ship them overseas. Do u buy from their shop directly.
