I tried Loakes size at Robinson (UK 7.5) and purchased Meermin double monks UK7.5 which fits just nice (at the start it was tight but after a few weeks it is perfect) for me.
I also email Meermin the length and width of the outline of my feet (with socks to draw the outline on a piece of paper). They replied me and recommend size 7.5.

My Meermin double monks 101341 - DARK BROWN CALF took more than 2 months to arrive which is probably due to no stock at the time of order.

Hi there,

Thanks for sharing your experience. I went down to Robinson @ Raffles City, too bad I did not find any Loakes, perhaps Loakes only available at Centre point or Heeren?

Confirm Raffles City does not carry any more Loakes. went with my friend to look at shoes.

Centerpoint bery limited stock. Best bet is new store at Heeren.

Hi guys is there anyway to remove cuts n scratches on leather shoes?

yes, another way is to bring yur shoes to Petia Choo and he will gladly help u to apply colored cream and wax polish to buff away your minor scratches. $10 for a standard job if im not wrong? Or more if you want a better finish? :D

Ppl here more into English shoes, Spanish getting some attention

Italian not much... Prices are high. What's your damage?
Home page | Mario Bruni - Original 'Made in Italy' handmade shoes

Got it for 190 euros. prices for Herring would be similar to this as the models that I like cost like 178/225 pounds after VAT rebate.

I had 2 shoes from Herring and thought of buying one more wholecut herring shoe.

Personally I always like the slim cut and sharper toe area for Italian shoe, english shoe tend to be rounder(more comfortable). while trying this shoe, I cant get on my usual size and had to go half size smaller because their last was bigger than the standard European sizing. It was still too big but more comfortable at the toe area.
Construction of this shoe is good, no gluing of sole spotted

Hi guys,

Thanks for all your inputs, will drop by Heeren if time permits. In fact and to my surprise, Meermin has replied.

Also thanks to the excellent customer service of Llyr, I got myself a early Christmas present. Haa

I have always been interested in St Crispin's. The question is, what are you really asking?
