I actually quite like the Malachite n Negresco .. haha
I LOVE them.

But I don't think I can pull them off. Plus my wife will probably throw them away when I'm sleeping. I had red and turquoise shoes dyed brown cos she said she won't go out with me if I wore them, haha...

But yes, they're certainly beautiful.

If you know the specific patina you want, it would be good to ask for a specific quote. I'm sure not all patinas cost the same...

I notice that it seems like a huge clearance for Mountbatten series. Its really a nice design good for jeans and work pants. :)

Putting it simply, malachite is green and Negresco is blue. But it's of course a lot more nuanced than that.

After you decide on the color you want, I'll write him right away.

They are indeed. That's why I have a pair of MTO Mountbatten's in a more sensible color and have received many compliments on them.

$100? Totally worth it.

He can simply do one for you.

If you have a very clear idea of what you want, describe it clearly and he will execute it. Of course there has to be a certain level of trust between you and him, and there is also a risk of it not turning out exactly the way you want.

Search "permanent style dandy shoe care" for an example of someone who received something not 100% of what he imagined the repatina to be.

For me, judging by his work, it can't go wrong as he is good. You could even say he is the best in the world.

Went to edetal website and realized i have gotten the Mountbatten boot (think should be Mountbatten)

Leather cleaned with conditioning. Not the best of condition but heck it is going for $100 for a goodyear boot!

Sorry, am curious but for those who went down to the sale. Are all the mount battens on sale grey in color only? :s12:

If Topy can help extend the lifespan of the sole(for $30 compared to $150 to resole the shoe), why not?

I read about how the leather soles will help the moisture escape whereas the rubber will trap them. So wanna check with the experienced ones here.

Also, is it true that its better to wear the shoes for a few weeks before topy, so as to have a rougher surface for adhesive as well as the soles to meld to your feet
