Hi, anyone wearing edetal Merlion II?
I'm wondering if it's a fit issue or just me as shoe still doesn't seem to break in or 'season' after a few months of wear.
Leather is still quite stiff and heel slippage is a pain man..
Was contemplating getting another pair of laced outram or raffles II but having seconds thoughts now...

Pardon the reply to old post. Having worn the merlion 2 for several wears, i m happy to share that they break in well n are comfortable, excessive creases aside, which i have brought up before n not going into details again

Glad to hear about you good experience. Mine still hurts :(
Must be my feet fit issue, oh well.
On related note, still wish edetal customer service abit more pro-active.
My order's 6 weeks and still counting without any news..

Hi guys any recommendation on where I can get those wood shoe trees locally and what's the estimated prices for them. Thanks alot.

Try the cobblers, they should have them for approx $45-50..
Amazon is still your best bet though.

Are you getting from amazon or woodlore direct? Got diff?

guys, can consider getting from taobao. I was made to understand woodlore gets from china OEM anyway and taobao can get direct supplies from such OEMs (some maybe "seconds" though, if that matters)

I believe it's possible to get well within $30 inclusive of shipping per pair.

$30 is very reasonable.. Most retailers are selling them for $70 a pair.

I can attest to the quality of the taobao shoe trees. I have bought 4-5 of them. But you will need to be able to pick up in China for this to be worth your while.

Around $15+ each pair. And don't expect too much on the brass handles and springs.
The cedar wood is fine.

$70 a pair (I think I know which retailer) is way too expensive. Local website can get at around $45 with free shipping.

If order 5-6 pairs of Woodlore (US$20) or Allen Edmonds (US$25) from Amazon.com, u will get free shipping to SG. This will translate to about S$30each. Could be same OEM as China TaoBao, but at least QC is guarantee.
