Working Shoe for Young Exec

guys, im contemplating getting a pair of Archules for work. just wanna ask the bros here if they have any experience with them? particularly the atlanta model.

looking more towards comfort when walking (sole is appropraitely cushioned, etc)

Yes. My pair from Zee's. But it is cosmetic and not a defect.

I bought their Nottingham. Build quality is ok , you get what you pay for. Service wise is great and they are very accommodating

It depends what you define as imperfection.

The stitching on all my shoes can be improved. The places where the welt ends can also be considered an imperfection.

If you take a magnifying glass, you can definitely find fault with the shoes. I am just contented that it cannot be noticed at standard eye level (when standing).

Not to me. Looks like a standard AE welt.

Better of waiting for the other premium Italian brands to swing by Singapore during their trunk tours.

Dude, EG in terms of leather uppers, soles, and finishing is way better than the mid-tiers like c&j. The designs might not be as flashy because it prides its brand on classic english models.

Btw, I believe there are some european shoemakers that do handgrade stuff at the same price point. I don't believe they will lose to EG in construction or materials.

It's not a defect, just slightly shoddy workmanship. Plenty of examples like the above on the web.

Ok. Say Italian brands like Bremer and Botoni, they are almost double the price of EG. European shoes is a very broad section of the market.

Just saying that EG isnt that expensive relatively.

If you walk a lot i suggest you buy a real good shoe that take best care for your foot

You do know that the concept of fashionable is highly subjective right? Not even sure what classifies as Italian and English types to you. I could give you examples of two ends of the spectrum and still be correct.

anything with a waterproof sole and a full grain leather upper really. leather soles arent quite practical in singapores wet weather, and corrected grain and the like just wont age well.
