Thanks AIAD

I was thinking of a velvet slip-on actually.

The cloak and cigar was a bit much though. I have my limits.

Haha as you pointed out, the velvet slip-ons paint an imagery of winter time fire-place and pyjamas.

TBH, it ultimately depends on your own comfort level and acceptable etiquette within your office/colleagues/boss, not unlike those 'can I wear a suit/tie even if I don't have to' discussions but in a 'reverse' mode.

Finally down to actually answering your question: IMHO, I don't think it's an appropriate practice, regardless of gender. I believe some Japanese companies have such a culture amongst the guys but otherwise it's very rare amongst guys as compared to ladies.

Actually it's a Japanese company etiquette (More commonly seen in traditional Japanese MNCs buildings/factories) to wear slip-ons in carpet areas and leave your shoes in the lockers at the building's entrance.

I guess as shoe lovers, we just have to contribute by making sure they are kept neatly bah...

I have 2 pairs of RW, 1 clarks desert boots, 3 pairs of edetal, and quite a few pairs of canvas and sneakers which I haven't worn for years. But I try to make sure they are either nicely kept in boxes or placed properly on shoe racks. :)

Selling mint carmina shoes?

Hey guys hope you can help me out here.

I just ordered a pair of Carmina Work Wear in UK6.5 Carmina Work Wear – Skoaktiebolaget
but they're a little too big. :(

Unfortunately I don't think I can exchange it as I wore it for 1 day and there's a little creasing at the vamp area already, so I'm looking to sell it. :(

Anyone knows a good place to put it up for resale besides HWZ market place and ebay?

Preferably a local 2nd hand market!

Is ebay.sg a good site to do t?

Alright cool. Thanks man.

I'll look into Styleforum and Carousel.

I've listed it on HWZ Fashion Bazaar as well if any of the peeps here want to take a look. ;)

Darn shame to sell such a beautiful shoe though :( Wasted just not my size

Bro what ur actual shoe size? Mine is 8uk and I have the rain last in 8uk and they fit me well... maybe you can try to get insole or heel protector and see how u feel before you sell them away. No harm trying

I thought I was a UK6.5 but it seems I might be a UK6. Its weird coz i usually buy US8 for other shoes/sneakers.

Anw I alr tried an insole but its still a bit loose. Everytime I walk the heels slide off a little :(

And if I wear them longer and the leather becomes seasoned, i think it'll become looser? So doubt I can salvage them. :( Thanks for ur help man!

Yeap I read about that on styleforum also. Mosts posts do state however that we should try to size half down if we can to get rid of heel slippage..

My current shoes are able to slip one finger in at the back heel area if I squeeze my toes all the way forward. Is that a good fit or too loose that may be contributing to the heel slippage?

Yes walk-ins are entertained. However for appointments are meant by ordering a bespoke or made to measure.

Or else, walk ins are more than invited to have a look around. Do come and have a look.
