You need some burgundy in your life mate A pair of burgundy half/quarter brogues would be good addition. Wholecuts if you're daring. Even if you're still considering another pair of dub monks I would also consider burgundy. Get the tan longwings as your fifth shoe.

Loafers would be a good as well but you mentioned that you're not too keen on them. I'd also recommend a nice pair of dress boots but if you're not ready for loafers I'm assuming the same for boots.

Probably a plain captoe burgundy or quarter brogue to be included in the collection in the future. The loake strand didn't speak to me. Probably a whole cut, but maybe not as my first burgundy shoes.

If you're dead set on getting something from Meermin you can also look at the Dark Brown Lama Calf. The Dark Brown Crust is a dressier option but I'm not sure how well they execute crust calf.

Chukkas are a good idea as well. Snuff suede or sand for more casual days when you're in chinos. For calf, Ed Et Al's Kempt Chukka is a very affordable option.

Lastly, I enjoy chelsea boots as well, but that should probably come in at a later stage.

They charge the 7% not just on the price of the shoes, but also on the price of the shipping.
And in addition, UPS charges another $10 , which they call a "disbursement fee", because they have to "pay the GST upfront for you first"

Yeah that's UPS for you. They called to inform you ? That's nice. Typically they just show up by my doorstep expecting the payment to be made exact with no change.

Once I had no change and the delivery guy wasn't keen on breaking my $50 note so I had to ask him to wait, drive to an ATM to withdraw.

You can also pay by cheque.

Nice. Probably will give a thought about it. Intending to hold out till the vass introduction. Probably will go ahead with meermin or carminas if those vass prices are out of my reach in sg.

I think u can feedback in general for Meermin to change to another courier (e.g. DHL) but I don't think they will entertain ad hoc requests to use a particular courier for your delivery even if you are willing to bear the full cost etc.

They are probably a large enough business to have dedicated departments handling various aspects of the sales flow and accomodating one-off arrangements wouldn't make sense to them.

DHL will charge $10 also. It's like the admin charge for them to prepay the gst for you.
