Hi all,

To many people's displeasure, I had my tickets successfully booked, flown and happy with the savings. You have to be patient with them, as they are trying to remedy the situation for you.

I travelled with tickets booked with CheapTickets.sg from Seoul to Beijing to Hong Kong (China Southern Airlines) last month end-December. Compared to other flights available around peak periods, I managed savings of $200+ inclusive of $30 DBS discounts.

Reading online reviews about the company, I too panicked then. I left a facebook message with them and asked them to expedite the issue for me soon after I booked it. The next day (within 24-hours) I received the final itinerary. I too, sent an email to their customer service email to expedite the request - a phone call was despatched to me when i was overseas at my singapore VoIP number also. I phoned back with the request ticket #, and i was told to verify the confirmed ticket with a link provided from travix-international.

I also did my due diligence to call up 1) China Southern Airline company, 2) Gimpo Airport to find out if the flight is on schedule, 2 weeks before i fly, 3 days before i fly, 1 day before the take-off, and the actual day 4 hours before hand.

The only unpleasant experience was my comfort level and the $30 DBS discount that did not precede immediately with the booking - it came back within 2 weeks. The customer officer mentioned that the $30 will be credited back to me as the transfer of payment would require that amount of time.

This year I have also booked tickets with them to Hong Kong, Taiwan, Beijing this summer. :)

4/5 stars for this company.

Cheers,
I am not a employee with them.

it's ok to book thru cheaptickets...provided if you DO NOT have any typo error in details and NO request to change flight/name etc. if u r someone who doesn't double check everything or faces travel dates uncertainty or book first bcoz it's cheap without planning ahead, don't buy. online booking name errors shouldn't be blamed on booking sites. blame it on ur eyesight.

I made my booking with the website the 3rd time, no problems at all, and everytime the tickets were issued less than 24h.

When I booked the 2nd time for my colleague, he had to cancel his trip because of work, helped him call up the customer service centre and I could perfectly understand the customer service officer (her name was Mercedes, I nearly lol on the phone)

I think it's really heng suay, and depends on wat time u call them up

they've a $50 discount for DBS cc until 26th! just bought 6 tickets for my family members, split them up into 2 X 3, and got $50 x 3 discount off their ticket price :D

luckily nv book

Me and my group of friends are also about to book through you guys.

Luckily we did some research there are tons of bad comments be it here, FB and various websites.

The management can go eat **** we rather pay more on reliable and customer orientated agency than your scam company.

Customer service is routed to a pinoy which we totally cannot understand

Updates on current discount coupon during NATAS period:

$50 off any 2-to-go tix using DBS card: DBSNATAS50
$60 off any 2-to-go Australia tix (depart from SG): CTTNLAAUS60

I just bought 2 tix to HK for 1 Nov, paid ~$330/pax, saved nearly $20/pax compared to buying the same tickets using DBS cards & direct purchase from Cathay Pacific

Please exercise Caveat emptor!

For people who wish to have an enjoyable vacation from pre-booking until you touch down in Singapore. I urge everyone to exercise caveat emptor!

Read every detail and double check what you are buying before paying, especially from sellers who only deal online without a physical storefront.

Because if anything happens, all you can do is only call or open a support ticket and hope for the best, right?

We may be biased, but we still prefer if people book directly from the airline or travel agency to make sure you get what you are paying for. The prices may not be the lowest, but they are generally still competitive.

At least, the assurance of an enjoyable and fun-filled vacation for you and your family is something money can't buy.

I had book a pair of ticket via Asiana airline to Seoul with Cheapticket.sg and is really cheap at only $620 per person. I have no issue at all. Although I didn't tried with cheapticket.com but I think Cheapticket.sg is safer. I called their hotline before I think they are all outsource to india.

Just not to confuse.
You are complaining on cheaptickets.sg right and not cheaptickets.com

I know cheaptickets.com aren't very safe for their flights but their hotel bookings are fine.

As for cheaptickets.sg, my friends and I had used them for our trip to Osaka and didn't get any issues. But again, heng suay lah

I have used them a few times for flights and have an upcoming flight year end as well. No issues encountered so far. The DBS $20 discount is nice too.

Cheaptickets a.k.a cheattickets

I just had a bad experience with this online agency. Book flight special promo to BKK on 31st dec..then I went away. On the 6th Jan, received an email that my reservation has been cancelled. Called them immediately and they claimed that they tried contacting me unsuccessfully. I checked my phone, messages but there was nothing.
When I called and speak to their staff ( from India) all he could say we are sorry but you have to rebooked.
By then, the offer of a special price is no longer available and the price is more than double. How frustrating and I pre paid my hotel.
I also learned from a friend who booked from them for flight to seoul on Asiana. When they called the agency to amend and extend their stay, they were told that the amendment fees, plus admin charges will be $500 each ..they were advised that only the agency can amend and NOT to call the airlines.
My friend decided to call Asiana and manage to amend the dates for a $75 admin charge...Cheap tickets out to cheat people..Do not use the agency.
I used them before with no problem but deeply disappointed at the non service and blatant charges.

After booking with travel websites, always use the booking reference provided to check with the airline to see that the booking is indeed confirmed. Always.

But if you automatically received the email itinerary from the airline itself, means confirmed?

NEVER EVER BOOK a ticket via CHEAPTICKETS.sg if you want competent and honest support for your customer service requests.
Just cancelled a ticket booked for Bangkok, with more than 48 hours lead time. I wrote an email to process the refund and got a reply that it is not refundable. I called them and said that the itinerary states there will only be charges for cancellation, they told me to check it in my ticket. I asked where in my itinerary/ticket is the fare rules indicated, they gave me all sort of alibis like (1) there was a problem with their phone system so my call was dropped (my first call) (2) their booking website is totally down (3) when i said i was actually online and looking at my booking details, they told me it's not viewable in their website but in their internal system and i can view in the airline's website (4) when i said it's not available in the airline's website, they told me to call the airline's international number for which i will incur charges. I asked them to send me a screen capture of their internal system, showing the fare rules, but I got some texts copied from screen in stead. So actually, there is no way for me to check the fare rules of said ticket.
NEVER EVER BOOK a ticket via CHEAPTICKETS.sg!
