i think even if you book directly from airlines, most airlines are non-refundable or am I wrong? haven't had to cancel any flights, yet, hopefully never have to.

It depends on the fare bucket. The lowest bucket often are very deeply discounted and hence non-refundable. Fully flexible Y tickets are generally fully refundable less cancellation charges.

Sometimes OTAs offer the same fare bucket ticket for a lower price due to some CC discount or some sale.

Even when booking with Malaysia Airlines, I seldom book directly with them due to many promotions out there.

cheaptickets.sg usually ok, used them a couple of times no problem. OTA is problematic when it comes to changes and cancellation since they charge admin fees and thats how they earn money. usually MH/CX tickets are cheaper to get via online agent.

book some ticket from them and it is normal like other OTA as i did not cancel or change flight time... within 30min, i get the booking ref to verify on the airline website.

Friend booked before was ok ...
only booked from zuji and expedia, their prices sometimes cheaper than direct website ... together with their own promotions, sometimes is wise to book from 3rd party sites ...

when considering the price, please factor in the dcc or cross border charges incurred by ur banks and credit card...

normally for those who review poorly are those who booked and need to change the tickets...if u just booked without any changes to the tickets...then it is ok service.

I booked thru them for tickets to NZ & no issues at all. Agree that problem only arises if you need to change tickets on names, flights, time..etc.
So if no changes required, no issues. Yes they can be very cheap in prices, I too was almost quite skeptical in the beginning but after my actual flights taken, erased away any fears.

They dun have any hidden fees included? I saw they are selling tickets at $696 vs SIA at $706. Other than seat selection, there should be nothing else?

As long as you confirm your flight dates and timing, nothing to worry about.

Once you get the e-tix, you can even manage the booking on SIA website, to choose or make any selections such as food and all.

Problem comes when you need to change flight or name or anything because it will be through them and charges typically will be higher and slower.
