Xiaomi 13 series

Finally, I bought a Xiaomi 13 Ultra CN. For now I use GPay and local banking app (DBS) no issues. Can GPay and DBS run normally if I unlock bootloader and install custom ROM, say xiaomi.eu or the Elite HyperOS ROM?

Also, phone has been upgraded to HyperOS CN already. I heard that on HyperOS, we must have Xiaomi Community account lv5 at least to register for bootloader unlock. May need to use this repo to bypass bootloader: https://github.com/MlgmXyysd/Xiaomi-HyperOS-BootLoader-Bypass.

Can't remb anyone here flashing custom roms. Those who do still sticking to 12S Ultra.

Sent my XM 13 Pro in for repair, and they did a 1 : 1 swap with a sealed box for me!
Apparently it's still selling for $1599, i'm asking for $800 only!

Ya. Like lottery now. Some people 240 hours, some 360 hours. Well they are discouraging people to unlock ba i guess

I cannot receive any SMS OTP. Is it because of paid SMS? My phone balance is 0.00, just subscribe to Yay plan monthly, with no balance to avoid unknown charges.

I unlock by normal method in the past, so not sure whether is it paid sms or something. But you can try other services that requires sms otp, see you can receive or not. If not, wait for Keyoke see what he reply.

Other sms works fine. I suspect it's the China-number paid SMS. Searched on reddit, some suggest waiting for 24hrs and trying again. Will try tonight.

Just curious, what make you forgo the warranty and get CN set despite your earlier concerns?

not sure about this liao bro. for me i unlock normally using miunlock tool.

I dont dare advise much if u are using this tool, as i am afraid that it might brick your phone

She wouldn't let me buy a $1400 Xiaomi phone. "Who buys expensive xiaomi phones? Just buy a damn iPhone".

I personally don't want to spend too much on phones these days. I only use phones for listening to music while commuting, browsing reddit, taking photos, and messaging. Don't need the look of an iPhone on hand.
A Macbook is less expensive than an iPhone these days

I personally don't want to spend too much on phones these days. I only use phones for listening to music while commuting, browsing reddit, taking photos, and messaging. Don't need the look of an iPhone on hand.

I try use cheaper phone as daily driver at least not so upset if green line happen. Nowadays have to zoom in to read the words block by the green lines.

Keep the flagship phone strictly for photo taking. Play games using tablet or othe device.

But the less you utilise the phone, the more value is "wasted". Electronic will fail with time anyway whether used daily or monthly. So may as well have just one good phone to use for everything.

$1.4k is too expensive for a phone.

I waited about 6 months for the 13 Ultra (China ROM) price to fall from about $1.5k to almost $1k before I bought it.

The good camera is useful for my daily life as well as for my work as the focus is always sharp and fast.

Unlocking is always risky.

The reward-risk ratio is too low for me.

May i check if anyone using china rom have issue with whatsapp ? mine doesnt receive the message when it is in standby mode after a few minutes. It also doesnt receive calls in standbymode.

Totally the same with your issue. Tried everything. Only way out is to turn OFF Miui optimization and notification works like normal. Mine is Miui 14.
