was trying to get my hands on a demo set but idk why luck's so bad that both xiaomi stores at suntec and jem are both closed for renovations at the same time?

where can I find a physical retail store to test out the phone? challenger dunch have the ultra.

I tried the phones at bedok mall Xiaomi shop. I believe funan also have.

Either lens cap with kit or those case with pertrusions to protect the lens glass. Would not put any lens protector over the 15U.

Similar discussion in 13U thread back when it was released..any lens cover would degrade the quality.

I was using the lens cover till I got a case with the raised pertrusions.

Tried to do a moon shot tonight. It doesn't do a Samsung where the moon suddenly becomes AI generated moon. Didn't have much time to redo.

honestly quite attracted to the silver/chrome but then again, it's quite thicc... 9.48mm. even thicker than the latest foldables.

I went with one that has cutouts for each camera. So far for my 13U..this has worked well, including cleaning the lens glass with my t shirt

After going thru 2 Pixels, the xiaomi charging speed was a nice welcome.

Feels pretty good, slight bit of concerns with the protruding lens element bit will probably need some protective glass or hydrogel over it soon.

Transfer of data and apps from my pixel 7 pro to 15 ultra was seamless.

Offhand my VPN app could not work with xiaomi 15 ultra .. slight bummer.

Hyper OS was ok at least for the few hours of fiddling.

Will test run the camera in due time.

Welcome on board I went to dig through my dry cab.... Note you don't need B+W haha just that I have one laying around. But don't go too cheap either. It can somewhat affect your image quality

Xm15u is a camera with phone functions, find n5 is a phone integrated with a tablet for enhanced multitasking. 2 diff TA.

Slim and excellent camera don't go hand in hand.

If u only want 1 phone to do it all, u gotta know what u really want and need.

yeah it's hard to decide. have been wanting a foldable for some time because the larger screen allows me to do some productivity work especially for excel sheets.

but camera system is something I also put high up on the priority, hence that's why I didn't get the oppo n5.

Get a 15u and a tablet. Settled.
2 devices could be even cheaper than a foldable depends on what tablet u decide on.

Exactly.. my 13U and Poco pad with x app functionality kicks ass.for a disposable tablet with factory keyboard cover.

yeah, almost daily. sometimes need to look at / update spreadsheets 'on-the-go' and it's quite a challenge with a slab phone.

to me it's all about portability. used to carry tablet as well, but eventually it became just an 'extra'. I don't watch k-drama or netflix so big screen tablets aren't really useful for me.

I am currently using the Zfold5 and switching to XM 15U.
Definitely will miss the foldable nature of the phone, but it has some bugs with interface (depending on the apps that you use).

Might revisit foldable phone when Google invests more in their fold series and develop better software support that will provide even more software related perks for having a foldable screen. I do agree it is very nice to unfold to show others what is on your screen, or to watch netflix while commuting. Hopefully I won't get withdrawal symptoms after seeing what the phone can do.

At least it comes with a free tablet

Is the silver/chrome thicker than the other variants? I thought they will all be of similar thickness.

Just curious, do you use an external output for typing and updating spreadsheets? My issue with dealing with spreadsheets on the phone is not so much of screen size but the interface and UI is less friendly compared to a bigger screen.

From what u answer, I think a foldable is more practical for u. Find n5 camera should suffice other than that ultra wide.

Was using the Pad 6 Max 14 with my current S23+.

I wanted to have both devices under the same ecosystem so yeah, really influenced me to get the 15U.

Wanted to wait a little longer to see what the Fold7 gonna be like but then scared I break it at work...

That tablet is hopelessly slow. I'm pretty sure excel will lag like hell.. SD 680, 6gb ram all this are potential killer for productivity especially if your excel has loads of formula etc.

I tried it on my Xiaomi 15. I believe there is some AI involved. I shot it with max digital zoom. At the moment when I tap the shutter, for a brief moment the moon looked smudged and very quickly it turned into a clear shot with some faint details.
