From what u answer, I think a foldable is more practical for u. Find n5 camera should suffice other than that ultra wide.

unfortunately it's not just the uw camera of n5 that sucks. it's overall downsizing of the sensor size of all three lenses which makes low light / indoor photography a struggle.

they're just trying to depend on AI to make things look nicer, but I feel it's not working (I tested the quality at the shops).

That tablet is hopelessly slow. I'm pretty sure excel will lag like hell.. SD 680, 6gb ram all this are potential killer for productivity especially if your excel has loads of formula etc.

What I heard is the battery life is very respectable.

I have the regular Redmi Pad, abit better but your media use case should be very acceptable still

Infact it's it only purpose lol, the 4 dolby atmos tuned speaker of Redmi Pad line up is really good for watching shows which other budget tablet don't get

reassuring to hear. unlikely to use the speakers most of the time since i intend to watch while commuting.
Don't want to be those old uncles that do not seem to know about the invention of earphones.

Took some test shots while having breakfast this morning..

Taken in good light , the 1 inch sensor at 23mm vs a full frame sensor with a 24mm comparing how much useful details at 50mp. Both jpg files taken straight out of camera,

Offhand there seemed to be useful details which I thought was admirable. Howver because the subject is organic, will have to dig for my old lens test charts to better compare.

The 1inch 50MP sensor produces 50MP file via remosaic algorithm ( under Pro ), but it also produces 12.5MP files ( normal photo ) using quad binning, the later * might * have an advantage in low light situations.

There's one adapter ring inside the photography kit just need to swap out the deco ring for that and screw in like your camera lens. I also have ND filter and CPL but those are 58mm as I bought them for my 12s ultra. Maybe can buy step down ring for them. I will still use my big camera though when needed... It's a Z8, I also still have a old D600 lol....

Today's lunch. Almost useable using auto mode at 23mm ( better than my previous P7P which forces weird vignetting and radial spiky blurs at periphery )

The clarity at the point of focus is acceptable on a 43inch 4k display, but may need to play with manual settings to get better pics.

It does not overzealously push shadows and highlights into the midtone which my old Pixel and esp my waifu's fruit phone are guilty of. Shadows and highlights give form and dimensionality, so this is a plus. Too much midtone and photo becomes flat and overly hdr-ed.

wow... I'm impressed. 手感very good and it didn't feel plasticky for me (as mentioned by some).

How well does the 200MP HP9 1/1.4 Periscope module with digital extrapolation compare ?
While a 16:1 binning creates a 12.5MP file from a 200MP sensor, I am not sure if digital zoom actually crops it off a less binned larger file backend. Either case the output is 12.5MP

Both handheld, Jpeg straight out of camera in both cases. Xiaomi processing auto bumps up saturation sharpening and contrast. Aliasing is not quite visible at 25% on 43" display, but beyond 25% crop there is no further useful details except bloating file size. Out of the 12.5MP, probably only 3+MP of useful information, but should still look acceptable without zooming since the XM screen is WQHD+ ( of course depends on visual acuity some users may be more sensitive ).

Bearing in mind this is likely the best periscope setup for phones currently, all in all pretty useable for IG , Fb, and more than sufficient for viewing on EDMW on an estate size of typical smartphone.

Yeah wanted to use Nova with gestures but it goes back to regular Xiaomi thereafter.

I am the reverse I use nova with "buttons" I am too used to nova to use anything else.
