no idea, and no way for someone else to confirm one. which is why i said better to see in person to decide, because different ppl might be sensitive to different things. some are to temporal dithering, some to low frequency PWM, some to high frequency dimming, some to excessive blue light, some to displays that are too bright in low light, some maybe just have dry eyes, etc. only way to know for sure is to test for yourself, and try out as many phones as you can.
I've not tried using xiaomi 15 specifically, but i have used their Redmi K80 with all brightness DC-like dimming, and it one of the least problematic OLED screens I've used aside from some older OLEDs that support DC dimming as well. I've used a few other phones that does DC-like dimming at higher brightness and all those gave me almost no issues too when in Dc-like dimming mode. Which is why for me it's a
safer bet that it
might work, but still can't say 100% will work. About temporal dithering, it's usually on LCD screen trying to look more saturated, so I'm not sure where the claim regarding xiaomi 15 using temporal dithering comes from since most OLED screen already are already a lot more saturated to begin with. I think there is a chance that it might be because it's LTPO rather than LTPS which usually is easier to achieve lesser eyestrain? Like I have personally experience iPhone SE 2022 getting a new major software update and suddenly the LCD screen causes me eyestrain, likely caused by apple trying to make the colours more vibrant using temporal dithering, but i just dont think they even have a need to do temporal dithering on a modern OLED screen these days.
I've been testing and trying different phones, different solutions, watching a ton of reviews and phone review on bilibili specific to eyestrain, and what i've come to realised is that the only way to know for sure is to try for yourself unfortunately. Again, t
here is no way for anyone else to confirm for you whether a screen will trigger whatever you're sensitive to or not. Like I've seen multiple ppl saying they have issues about the Redmi K80's screen regarding to eyestrain on bilibili, but i myself am okay with it, along with a bunch of other ppl saying they're okay with it. I've seen ppl saying a particular phone is good, and rating it highly for having less eyestrain, but i try it and it hurts my eyes really badly. lol. Knowing exactly what type of thing triggers your eyestrain can help to narrow down your options of course, but there are factors that are even out of our control. like a lot of brands uses mixed suppliers for their screens, and sometimes one supplier might be better than another. lol. If your eyes are really sensitive, can only say good luck liao
