The bad thing is, everytime mediacorp updates Toggle, we have to search for the updated apk on the web. The old version cannot be used anymore.
-Run emulator on the pc and you can get whatever version of the apk you need by
Titanium backup. If it is there on the Playstore, you can get the apk.
-Run
ES File Manager on Mibox, set network to shared & you can just drag & drop from pc folder & mibox folder, don't even need sd card or thumb drive.
-There are many live, paid & catch up channels there on the top left menu of the Toggle.
-Use
System app remover-root or Setting to uninstalled app. I am not sure whether Setting can be accessed from Shaffra market, otherwise you can use
RUI Launcher (free) to access the typical Android Setting.
-Setting option, access Developer Options & set to use SD card as a storage also great help as there are very limited space on board. I installed less frequent apps such as ES file manager on the SD card & free up onboard memory for other frequent use apps such as HDPTV & Kodi.
-I rooted my Mibox to modified hosts file & most of the ads can be blocked, together with
AdBlock Plus &
Lucky Patcher, most ads are gone=happy watching.
-Install
Reboot Manager for easy rebooting the Mibox as there is no on/off button.
-Wireless vs bluetooth; I am not sure wireless mouse will work if you left Mibox behind the TV as of mine, get according to personal preference/needs.
-By the way if the app is working fine, I would not recommend anyone to update, unless you have backup apk. I did the updated and some of them did not work properly until I removed & put back the old version.
Recommended apps:
Cloud TV
HDPTV
Free Cartoon HD
Kodi+Genesis & Phoenix add-ons
Hola to change your location as some online TV only work on specific country.
By the way, I think other Android TV box which can run TVapp.so would be better than Mibox. I wouldn't have bought this Mibox if I knew it cannot run TVapp.so. I do not see anything so special about the box as most of the function are depending on the apps.
