my audio sync in xbmc on mibox2 quite bad. disabled hardware acceleration still the same. any other setting to change? i installed gotham. is it better to use older version?

mibox2 is using amlogic chip, so rooting the box may be the solution.

i have a rooted xiaomi box 2 bought locally. comes with preinstalled loads of stuffs.

just want to know is there anyway i can change the skin or launcher or layout or whatever? cause i can't seem to add the apps i want to the videos short cut or do any changes. very zzz

For some unknown reason, my Xiaomi Tv BOX V.2 suddenly stop output at 1080p. And I couldn't find anything in the default launcher where I can set the display resolution.

So how do I get it to display 1080p? It's now stuck at 720p.

I have already tried switching on and off. What else can I do? Is there a menu selection I am missing?

are you on the english menu? cause last night i tried, went into Mi box official launcher, the one in chinese, from there go to settings can change the output to 1080 50 or 60. but not too sure if got any changes. haha. but you can try that.

Use speed test .5ghz ac sucks at penetrating walls and objects compared to n wireless .

Hi all

i have been doing some research on android tv boxes because wife wants to stream HK drama on tv. but the more i read, the more confused i get

hope to get some clearer insight from the more experienced bros here.

1. main purpose of this box is to stream from azdrama.se, where she gets most of her HK drama fixes.

am i right to say that the box is the same as a normal tablet (ipad), where she can use the internet browser available in the box to stream from the webiste?

2. youtube, for me haha
i am more worried about the stream quality. usually when i used an ipad to watch youtube, the quality will go from HD to 480, then back to HD. quality not as stable as i would want it to be. might be due to the wireless connection quality i have in my room. will the box be the same?

3. mira cast
dont know what i can use this for but it sounds fun haha.

also, i have seen people talking about VPN, jailbreaking, language of the box.

as of now, i cant think of anything that requires vpn, but in case i need it in future, does it support?

i have no idea what jailbreaking or rooting does for the box. can anyone shed any light?

from the seller in qoo, i need to add an extra 20 bucks to get the box to speak english, must it be done in this way? or is there a way for me to change it to english on my own?

a few steps to install playstore:
1. Root the box
2. Copy GoogleServicesFramework, GoogleLoginService, vendor apks to system folders data/app and system/app
3. Change the property of these apk to rw-r--r--
4. reboot

hi im stuck at the rooting of my mibox 3, dont have any idea how to root the box at all Btw i bought the supposedly rooted box from the qoo10 seller, i tried to copy the googleservices framework and googleloginservice to the data / app in es file explorer but its unable to copy says the EACCES (permission denied)

in es explorer, turn on root explorer and also give RW access to all folders.
