when i try to turn on root explorer it says sorry the feature cannot be turned on from your device

Got my mibox pro from q0010 also. When they said jailbroken, it seems that it does not mean rooted as it just means you can change IU. You've to root the bugger yourself.

But after rooted and copied the framework, vending, etc... into the required folders (and set permission), it seems that play store would only start for a short while before auto closing again. Can't find a solution yet it seems...

How to root mibox3 in the 1st place?? I tried baidu root does't work .

You followed this huh??did u reboot?
Install Playstore without having to flash Gapps

I used the method posted in the earlier thread here ( and rebooted) which looks to be similar to the link, except maybe the latest play store apk. The play store did showed up but it'll exit by itself immediately after going in. I'll try to search for the latest apk when I have time, Thanks!

To root the Mibox pro, you can try to use this method as this is what I did and managed to get SuperSU working.

But do take note that superSU is not visible in the original Mibox launcher.

i tried to connect mouse by otg cable to mibox2 but cant seem to detect. tried both wireless and wired. both the same. does the box detect it automatically or need to do some settings? my otg cable shld be ok cos i attached hdd mibox can read. any suggestions?

Nah typical rip off money options . The Taobao store gave me otg for free .
Local otg costs 1-2 dollars only .His otg must be made of gold or something

1) Confirmed. pics, music, video all able to play on mibox. But I can't remember it support what type of format for video.

2) There is bluetooth 4.0 but I yet to tried it's function.

Mibox3 install apex or any other launcher then go android settings change language to english .
All english supported apps shld be in english now .
Easy as 1 ,2 ,3 for android users.

I can't seems to get tuzi launcher to work.... reboot, pop up options for launcher, select tuzi and put always preferred launcher nothing happens... lucky understand Chinese else can go fly kite liao.

By the way anyone using xunlei apps? Seems much stable to watch cctv5 although SD but good enough already.

if u pluck on a thumb drive to xiaomi box instead of microsd card nad u need use mouse, then u better get the otg cable. some function is better to use mouse

channels are not require if u know how to install apk etc
