i spot Qoo10 selling...

134 - for rooting with english menu, channel and usb to lan accessory, is this worth the $? I knw root n channels can DIY but the seller dun sell w/o those...

or 109 - a shop in sls? nothing but convert to english menu.

does the set c/w the remote control?

or can some1 sic me where u hoot the box.

You can go taobao or tmall to purchase. Simply use a forwarder like 65daigou to help you purchase. I got mine from there as well, less than $100, including OTG cable, data cable and remote control silicon cover, and comes rooted with the popular apks installed. Hahahaha...

Yes, I bought one OTG (micro usb to usb A) from pasar malam, works with mibox.

Anyone facing issues w xiaomi box (orig chinese UI) handling background apps or processes?
Been trying to download torrents (utorrent) surf the web (chrome) but they all get killed after returning to homescreen!!


Pressing and hold home button in homescreen shows them running but when these apps are selected, they start from scratch.

However apps dont get killed when toggling between themselves.

Qoo10 has a seller (applism) selling the xiaiomi box 3 at S$99 without any extra.
Use the NDP coupon and you should be able to knock $10-15 off the above price.
Together with $3 cart discount and by doing self-collect, you should be able to get it at around S$81-86.

Ordered my Xiaomi box Gen 3 from Taobao for RMB399 last Friday and receive it today.

Its completely stock and it was very easy to set up. So far all the ICN shows I click can be played smoothly with occasional lag using SH 300Mbps FBB with wireless N routers.
