this youku addon cannot be used, same for the letv addon.

use youkuTV and TTBB addons instead.

Where got such thing as need 4k tv then tv box will work? As long any tv that supports hdmi will do lar. You can probably even use it on old CRTs with a hdmi to rgb/rca converter. When a tv box states that it supports 4k, it just means that it can decode and play media up to 3840*2160 resolution. Are you looking to buy your 1st android tv box or what? Because you have been asking quite alot of questions and till now you still have not made up your mind. Dont suggest getting a xiaomi box if this is your 1st box and you are a novice. There are cheaper options out there that are more straight forward to use.

Just receive the unit and plug into my AV receiver. Realize it doesn't work at I plug it into the HDCP2.2 slot. Manage to resolve it by plugging the HDMI into a non HDCP2.2 box.

This is not my first Xiaomi box. Probably own 2-3 already. Thanks

I received my new 4k tv yesterday which has 2x hdmi 2.0 ports that supports hdcp 2.2. I plugged the xiaomi box into this hdmi 2.0 slot and there are no problems whatsoever. Able to change to the max interface resolution of 3840×2160@60hz but its quite laggy so i settled for 1920x1080@60hz instead. Try using your own hdmi cables instead of the white one that came with the xiaomi box. The enclosed xiaomi hdmi cable dont seem to be good.

Some sellers have those options that add TV channels all these. Ain't it just installing some programs into the box only? They are charging for that!?

These are greedy sellers.

However, there are also good sellers, providing free guides to help users to install the free apps.

Some bloodsuckers in Q10 or Sim Lim charge u $10 extra to install Shafa Mkt or/and Kodi another $10 if u just purchase a raw set from them.

Learn to install yourself. They are readily available on youtube videos and just google them.

Maybe you should try to read greg post refer u to newtvboxsg to see what kind of box u require. He has an excellent list of Q&A on tvbox.

If you want Xiao mi, the best now is Xiaomi 3 Pro ard $99 or cheaper from taobao.

As for ISP, yes I heard singtel maybe have some problem with certain applications but there are always alternative software.

You have to start somewhere and go hands on. For starter u can also get a cheap M8S or MXQ ard $50 to play with first. Learn how to install android Apks and than Kodi.

Wanted to try up before buying an android box.

So I tried installing kodi on Windows and tried out the youku app but it always give an error to load the video.

Youku cant run on kodi andriod or pc. I think u got the youku from Asia TVs, most the links not working. U try azdrama, phonexi, exodus, icefilms install yr pc.
