Hi Boonkang, I wanted to watch all the new TVB dramas using the CIBN app.
I can watch this using MangoTV app, but this app is a pain using the mouse controls, not as user friendly as CIBN.

Thanks for your time and advice.
Cheers!

I always plug in a wireless mouse to my TV box. Why using mouse is an issue?

Personally I find that I can navigate / do things within apps much faster using wireless mouse + remote -- rather than just using remote only.

I guess as much, people often/seems to always ask about HK (TVB) dramas.

There are multiple apps that you can use to watch latest/newest TVB dramas, some are:

蜜蜂视频 - http://www.beevideo.tv/
KakozeDrama - http://www.kakoze.com/
RSS Video Player - https://www.facebook.com/groups/newtvboxsg/permalink/159181077763432/
MangoTV - https://www.facebook.com/groups/newtvboxsg/permalink/208505736164299/

(You already know MangoTV can watch TVB drama)

Don't always depend on 1 specific app to watch TVB dramas, rotate & use different apps. One day if one particular app don't work -- there is no problem at all because you can always use another app that you're familiar with.

All above apps are among those apps I listed in one of my earlier post today: http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/103625395-post3354.html

For 蜜蜂视频 app:
- For latest TVB dramas, there is choice of either watching in original Cantonese audio or dubbed Mandarin audio.
- When playing each TVB drama episode, you can press menu on your TV box remote to get a pop-up menu.
(from the pop-up menu, you can try to choose 腾讯 + 蓝光 as souce selection to get better resolution)

Using the 蜜蜂视频 app is very similar to the CIBN微视听 app.

For KakozeDrama & RSS Video Player:
- There seems no specific selection for audio -- all TVB dramas seems to be in original Cantonese audio.

KakozeDrama & RSS Video Player should work regardless of DNS used.

For 蜜蜂视频 & MangoTV to work, you need to set DNS in your TV box as per this Facebook post:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/newtvboxsg/permalink/296967550651450/

Hope the above helps.

Yes, I'm also aware of the app 热门电视剧:
http://hotdrama2.blogspot.sg/p/app.html

My previous post was to reply to user 'HWZ1973' -- who was asking about watching new/latest HK TVB dramas.

Unfortunately app 热门电视剧 no longer has listings of latest HK TVB dramas.

AFAIK, app 热门电视剧 currently has some HK dramas but these are last year's (2015) dramas.

All latest (this year 2016) HK TVB dramas have (already) been removed/delisted from app 热门电视剧 many weeks ago.

There seem no indication whether we will be able to watch latest/newest HK TVB dramas from the app 热门电视剧 again in the future.

So app 热门电视剧 can't be considered if the purpose/aim is to be able to watch latest/newest HK TVB dramas.

I know of 热门电视剧 but its in Cantonese, I prefer to hear in Chinese.

Just bought a xiaomi 6th gen box not long ago and also a 1st time user for tv box.

I am using viewqwest fiber network and also subscribe the freedom VPN so do i still need to setup DNS for my xiaomi box?

For youku, i am able to stream but sometimes it will buffer still. For some other apps, i click but no video come out and some just keep buffering.

I also notice that when i explore the box and there is a "location" setting and want to set it to Singapore but only find China, HK and Taiwan only.

so do i miss out anything or what?? pls advise... thanks alot

VQ FVPN does not work for China sites, you can request VQ to add them in by providing the apps you use.

If not got to change DNS settings.

Currently you can buy from walmart for 69 USD...Or mi.com website, need US VPN to view and a freight forwarder...

I'm only interested in extracting the english firmware from it and install on my chinese mibox. lol.
