Xiaomi native UI stream contents via 3 different set of CDN(19, 26 and 30). CDN 19 has been around since I start using XMI box.. CDN 26 seems to stream contents from SOHU and about few weeks ago, CDN 30 pop up to deliver new movie/TV shows. I guest Xiaomi is adding more CDN capacity..

About a week or two ago, some users like myself are unable to watch stream contents if it deliver via CDN 19 (iCNTV认证 problem)but there is not problem on CDN 26 and 30.. My ISP at home is provided by VQ Fibernet with Freedom VPN. . .

Fortunately, this problem no longer there since late last night 24 July (I have no idea what has happen).. Now, I am able to watch everything within Xiaomi "native UI" without any issues.

There are a lot of discussion about iCNTV认证 issues about Xiaomi on the net. however, none of them really give a clear explanation and answer.. There are many users use the "Jailbreak" version of the box and load up all kind of UI and apps.. I always find that it is very confusing especially when some of those app behave badly.. My view is just get the original Xiomi box (RMB299/399) and connect to one of the local ISP that have the network that can support Xiomi.. I am sure you will enjoy it.. I hardly switch to my AppleTV for Netflix lately..

sorry if this question is noob, but where do i access the iCNTV on the native xiaomi tv box launcher? i can't seem to find it... or rather what is the name of the app for iCNTV? is it a seperate apk where i have to download?

ur xiaomi box buy from where? the seller install and change default launcher for u? if never temper before the start up page is icntv already.

if not, u try to go all applications and look for xiaomi, iirc the icon looks like the mibox, black square. run it, will go to original launcher

hey guys,

ive been toying around with a xiaomi box 3.
i chose chinese but the seller gave me an english UI (RUI launcher) instead.

now, i have some problems:.
1. which app can i use for miracast?

2. The original miui could not be launched (when clicked, there will be an error msg). any idea how to fix this?

3. how can i restore it to original chinese OS?

thank you

Miracast is built-in. You need to go to the original launcher to use it under usage tab.

Rui TV was hopeless so I reset to factory settings. You should be able to find that button in rui launcher.

As above

Yes, iCNTV is working again now. But CDN 26 and above never works for me.

hi guys, for those of with you generation 3, under settings, does it show up as mibox2? Mine shows Mibox2 although I paid for gen 3, so wondering if Mibox2 is just a misnomer. Thanks.
