Besides Google play there's xiaomi market which can be downloaded mah. Don't tell me android phone user only download apps via Google play only. So many 3rd party market out there even Google play also tell user to download apps at their own risk. Most of the problem just need to tinker and hands on to solve it. Good e.g like initially when i installed xbmc and couldn't get the video diaplay. U give me the solution and solve it. From there onwards i will always play with settings fiddle here and there to try things out first. Not saying xiaomi is good lah but every box got pros and cons mah.

This blog says can install APK on Xiaomi Mibox3.

And only need to install an APK called 沙发管家. That is the App store for Xiaomi Mibox3 and all other android box. As this App store has all the App written by Chinese and design for display on big screen TV.

Looks great. Replace the Launcher with this Shafa launcher, and every time you exit an App, it cleans up a little memory and optimise your system for you.

install shafa app first. from there can find a lot of apps for video. i mainly use 布丁, iqiyi, youku. 布丁 can cover a lot of stuff but don't get latest version. they block it for tv box. shafa can get old version

very strange, I cannot run iqiyi on my ViewQwest network. Which ISP you use to get iQiYi? PPTV is good, the rest is OK but iQiYi.

I used to watch a lot of iQiYi on iPad last time, since it is Super Super HD, I think 1080p... very clear. Recently when I in Taiwan, I stay in this hotel and I brought along my MiBox3, and the iQiYi, Tudou, PPS all very good. Almost every App works.

How we wish Singapore can be like Taiwan.

All these IPTV apps does not necessary works on all ISP. So, need to know who is your ISP. If you use traffic light ISP, most likely they block or slow down the feed. Or make it don't work.

thanks for the reply.. I'm using M1 300mbps.. so i thought it shouldn't have any lag.. but now i'm using xmbc.. i found a kids channel so i guess i will explore more of xmbc now

Its just like android or Apple phone. If you know how to play Handphone via downloading apps then this tv box is the same.

This guy played a lot of boxes.. wow.. envy...

ya perhaps that's why i only did research on CS918 and Mini x series. I did not really looked at mibox until my colleague asked me if i want to order...

Found a link... May be useful to help you make the decision. I have both 10moons and mibox3. I usually carry mibox3 oversea. If oversea network in the hotel is good, I watch show. If not good, I simply plug the USB stick that has movie on it. Mibox3 will play it. hahahaha

Just got a Mibox3 yesterday and I don't understand why there's two ways I can see the CloudTV but, one way is through 'Apps' while the other is by 'Video'. Going through Apps way has a lot of lag while using the 'Video' icon has almost no lag.

I have the 'sofa butler' installed, is that where I get the xmbc app?

In Cloud TV, it says I'm paid subscriber but in Cloud TV market, there's paid subscription offered for high def versions of the stations and movie channels.

Does that remove the lag or its simply clearer content only after paying?

Spoilt Xiaomi3 controller...

hi all,

My Xiaomi3 controller is not working well despite changing the battery as advise by one of the bros here. The left/down/enter button not very responsive and it is impacting my experience. Even a wireless mouse is not very friendly with the box.

Can anyone advise me on a suitable replacement for XM3 controller? i need it asap and also where to purchase it...Thanks!!

Just to share with mibox users, if you want to access original android setting page it is accessible by pulling down android drawer by using mouse. Just go to top right corner near the wifi icon and pull down. You will see three options, the first one is settings.

China user all very demanding wan expect the remote to work wonders. Just like the power button issues can make it till very serious when the apps is free.

1. I see sellers @ Qoo10 selling those box. And they charge like SGD5 for free dramas, $10 for english version, $5 for this and that.

My question, can this be done on our own without having to pay those charges ?

2. Let say it's possible for #1, can it be done with other brand of Chinese made boxes as well (e.g. Neo X8-H) ?

Dear all,

I had just took out xiaomi box(totally newbie to tv box) and connect to my tv and using m1 fibre broadband.

it says can't connect icntv when i run the diagnostic , and now i also get the error
'user verification" . i already tried restore the factory settings but nothing seems to help at all .

what can i do ?
