Should be. Mine KitKat working fine, only occasionally XBMC hang in startup screen but most of time is working.

Just bought myself the Xiaomi Mi Box 3 from Lazada, is this officially from Xiaomi? Can't seem to find any information from their website, maybe just not on the english version of the website because I don't understand chinese.

I also just realised it doesn't come with an ethernet port which is weird, any USB to ethernet adaptor will work right?

woah apparently it's using Wireless AC, I'll see if it's any better than USB to ethernet adaptor.

Will this work for tvmc gotham 13.2 apk? I downloaded from the kodi forum juz now. Anyone tried this vers of gotham for the xiaomi mibox2?

Edit: I went ahead and installed the gotham 13.2 apk from tvaddons.org
Best thing I did. The entire thing is in English and it's really easy to use..

It's an App to play your media contents and also have built-in apps for streaming etc...

Previously called XMBC, now they call it Kodi.

Gotham is one of the versions of the app.

Hi,
I am using the mibox 3 enhanced. Previously have been using the wangqu without any problem. Since this morning, it complain 网络不给力, and cannot connect. It can play youtube, so internet connection is there.

I checked that the fw version is now 1.3.61. I must have upgrade fw accidentally. Not sure whether will the new fw cause the vpn to fail??

Anyone encountered this wangqu issue today?

Appreciate if anyone can advise?
Btw, I am on starhub cable.

I encountered the same 网络不给力 issue when I upgraded the app to v2.4 on sat.
Yesterday working fine again.
One of the change log in v2.4 state it include checks on network connection.

Where do you guys get your Mi Box? As in, it's genuine and the seller is not over-charging you. I'm asking as I have bad experiences with non-genuine products before. Would like to have peace of mind knowing that the device is not gonna crap out on me in a short time.....

i am currently in Hong Kong and planning to buy a few xiaomi box 3 and bring it back to sg. i am currently on m1 fibre back in sg.

As of reading up the posts, I understand that the box cannot be activated if the ip is outside china or must viewqwest. Can I check, anyone uses DNS services like unotelly? I am looking to use the box for tvb, and perhaps some china movie VOD.

If not DNS, is there a cracked version of apps that I can use that will bypass the region restrictions?

Also, what apps and launcher do you all recommend?

Read page 110 and 111.
For launcher, I am using shafa launcher.

After installing the gotham 13.2 ver of xbmc, I am not getting any video displays from live streaming, just the audio. Any ideas what needs to be checked/done?

Go to Video setting, at the bottom left, change the setting level to "advance" or "expert" to show the acceleration menu.

Go to acceleration, change decoding method to hardware accelerated.

For me, it works when I disabled all the 3 hardware acceleration
- amcode
- libstagefright
- mediacodec

If it doesn't work for you, trial and error to see which one you need to enable to work.

Im on singnet fibre and i can watch all channels out of box. It is not blocked

I'm not chinese but I'm sure there's a way to change it to english since it's running off Android OS.

It's Simplified Chinese by default.

XiaomiShop sells them preinstalled with english language.

I think at present more worth getting at XiaomiShop because the price difference with Lazada is about $4? When I ordered mine, it was $85 but it has since then increased to $95
