I heard that the latest kodi 15.0 beta1 can use AML hardware decoding on un-rooted mibox.

You may want to test it and report here.

the seller shipped v fast even tho after i paid, the email from lazada said it will take 11-29 days to arrive. ordered on 7 apr, arrived 9 apr :s13: they were hvg sale and i used credit card disct code so it was approx $87

box is wrkg well so far. but it hangs sometimes when i try to open APKs. dunno if fault is due to APk, or the box. apks also take longer to load now. when i first got the box, programs used to load within 5 secs. now it can take up to 10 secs or longer. maybe i installed too many apks?

sometimes open xbmc, pudding, dian shi mao, it will show black screen. when i get tired of waiting, hv to press back button or home button a few times then it go back to home screen.

pls note the box doesnt hv a LAN port.

box does not come with apps. pls install urself. it is easy if u read the tips from https://www.facebook.com/groups/tvboxsg/

Is the English menu on this version? Did you manage to enable the English menus?

i only enabled english for sha fa guan jia / sofa butler (official eng name: TV Market) app. found it when i played ard in the settings.
the mi box interface and all other china APKs are in chinese.

actually if u can can read chinese, no need to change the the sha fa guan jia app to eng. it is quite easy to navigate in chi also. and how often will u go into sha fa guan jia? it is one of my least used apks.

if u want the xiaomi interface to be in eng, i think need to root. not too sure abt this, but seems like too much trouble

Anyone using the showbox app? I tried to access the sub-menus using xiaomi controller but doesn't seem to work. Keep on stuck at search menu.

since no warranty, suggest just buy from Taobao. as long as you can read and operate chinese menu, just get a stock condition box will do.

i think its the same. $143 is insane lah. $88.50 is reasonable. google for discount codes or credit card promo codes. i paid around $87 for mine after all the discounts

If have not ordered, why don't just order the English menu version from Qoo10 (get the cheapest one), save your trouble.

Both sellers provide Lan port though USB extension cable, anyway I only use the extra USB ports for bt mouse.
Wireless speed on M1 seems to be enough on normal server.
So far so good, after rooted & put hosts file to block most of the ads. I still cannot find way to block the firmware updating, cannot find apk, nor xiaomi server.

don't need to root, just go to the android setting page and change to english.

one easy way to navigate to the setting page is via shafa market, in shafa market, go to my apps-system-settings.

HDPtv. its an app that shows live tv. nat geo, discovery, axn, star world, fox, hbo, fx, afc, history, got all these and more. but idk if all can play smoothly. too many channels, didnt try 1 by 1. :s13:

there's fei cui, sports and global news channels in the app too

I just bought a Xiaomi Mi TV Box from Alzando on Rakuten, but when i tracked the shipment with Fedex, the status says -

Clearance delay - Import
Import license or permit is required for clearance.

Anyone with this issue before? What should I do now? Need to apply for permit?
