if you can get to the main menu, go to system - video - setting level and change it to expert.

next click on the acceleration on the same page, disable all hardware acceleration options.

If it works after disabling the options, go back and try to turn on one at a time and test. Take note of the option that gives problem.

or just leave all the h/w option off, may affect the performance a bit, but should not be noticable.

in addition to what greg said, make sure u have min 500mb space left..u can clear the xiaomi apps data from the android settings in shafa launcher to make space.

Hi

I am using MI TV 2, my internet is fibre 1g myrepblic. I encountered slow internet speed issue. I use the mi tv to do a download speed test only average 2MB.

I also download shafa market and use the app 云视听 for movie/drama watch, the download speed only 100-200k.

What are your guys experience? Is this my ISP issue or china service limitation?

Hi all,

Everytime I tried to download an App, it will prompt that the internal memory is not enough; and will prompt me to uninstall some apps.

However, it seems like the space available is still enough. Can someone please assist on this?

I'm using the Xiaomi 3rd Gen Box. Everything as original as when it was first bought at Sitex 2015 (Didn't do any rooting or jailbreaking)

I wanna watch 央视live news, together with local free to air channels. Is this possible without having to buy a separate digital tv box? My older tv does not come with digital tuner. I have Chromecast device.

It is Wireless, can be signal? because my router is using Asus AC87U and it place at my living room, just like 5 step (4-5meter away) from my router.

What tool do you use to measure speed? Have you ever tried measuring from other devices from around the same spot? Also direct connect to your router with your laptop and measure speed. If even that is not good, wireless can't be good.

Buy a digital tv tuner to watch local channels. CCTV you can't with tuner. CNA not good enough?

The latest is Mibox 3 using S905(aka Gen 5) that is without OTG n SD Card slot...

Be careful for now if u wanna buy Xiaomi. 2-3 cases in this thread someone gotten the other way round type between Gen 3 n Gen 5...

Many already stuck with memory issue for the Gen 3 but maybe only a handful managed to over come by SD card. if u thinking Gen 5, better think twice, u might be stuck with memory issue forever...

greg, recently u shared an IPTV apk in the fb group, think its called Lei Feng/Le Feng (cant rmb).
