Hi been looking for a phone to replace iphone 5. Want to get one that have good battery with decent camera and cpu, 5 inch for one hand and mi 4i seems to fit all the requirement. Was considering sony m5 but previous sony phones all died in 1 year+ and the battery life doesn't seems good.

Just want to know if anyone tried playing hearthstone on 4g for more than 1 hour? does the phone heats up? thanks in advance.

im curious what apps u used have lags?
Facebook, Chrome, photo/video taking app, even notepad.

also how much ram did u have available (can be seen in the task switcher) when u experienced the lags?
It was just one app open most of the time, FB took appx 250MB and it was showing appx 700MB free. Still wondering, why OS takes 50% of the available RAM? TO me it is not normal...

also did u go for a replacement or sought refund immediately?
Refund. After reading this thread I would not wanna to deal with it further.
juz wondering if its a bad set

Most likely. It also drained battery in one day without running any app or connected to data/wifi network. And when doing some heavy-CPU tasks, it got so hot that I could not hold in my hand - I actually told service guys be careful, they might burn themselves.

or i should also prepare to ask for refund

If it works for you and you are satisfied - keep it.

i think all phones are quite unpredictable now except for apple. they seem to have best QC. read the post by the guy who ask for refund for mi4i.

battery will not disappoint - at least 3.5hr screen on time, end of day with 15%, moderate to heavy use including youtube

camera average, not impressive

cpu average but ok, no lag

phone heats up when watching youtube but not as bad as snapdragon 801 phones. warm to touch.

Facebook, Chrome, photo/video taking app, even notepad.

i use those exact apps and dont experience any lag

ram usage also looks similar.. and yea if the os uses 1.2gb of ram then what about phones with only 1gb of ram?

ok u definitely have a bad set.

Just buy the refurbished one lor

You know... how do I know that those phone have been refurbished at their manufacturing locations, not sent to China to replace battery and MB which will die in couple of weeks and you have no recourse?

I have simple policy:

- buy directly from the vendor or only from authorized retailers/resellers
- don't buy over internet if there is no local presence

So... is Qoo10 the authorized reseller of Apple?

Well the only official refurbished ones are at apple.com/SG but they have refurbished everything but iPhones..

Everything else you can of course just buy off the shelf at authorized shops (i.e. new ones only)

Well, the refurb one is not sold by Apple US at this moment either. From time to time - no more than 1-2 per year they have this sale. Will wait for December.

BTW, iphone 5s, now, unlocked sold at Apple US is cheaper than the one sold at Singapore store.

P.S. One side note - one of the indication of the quality of the product would be to see how many people are at the customer service center.

If you've been at the Central, you'll get an idea quickly. However, I have to mention that folks there are really polite.

It also means how many people buy their product.

Being empty at customer centre doesn't mean their quality is good. It can also mean nobody buy their products.

Does this phone gets better with every update or each update will introduce new bugs to the phone?

Haizz. I have been using version 6.7.2 for a while. It was quite stable. But today the battery dropped from 80% to 45% from 9am to 2pm. I didn't even touch the phone at all as I put it in a drawer (secondary phone). Checked the battery usage and the Wi-Fi is shaded all the while.

I am a bit tired of small bugs here and there. Especially battery bugs!

I intended to buy Redmi Note 2 to replace Mi 4i. But now not sure whether I can trust Xiaomi anymore. I just hate all the battery bugs so much.
