A 32gig just arrived. There is some backlight bleed on the right side of the screen. It is as if the front piece and rear piece were not fitted correctly.

I remember reading about this in the thread. Did the service centre do anything?

4hr and above is good batt life. 3hr is pain to use cos will die before end of day

Not sure of my precise battery statistics but usually I can be out from about 9am till 6pm and return with about 40% battery remaining. I am not a very heavy user (e.g. videos, games etc), but I do read quite a bit on my phone, so screen stays on.

New firmware update. 7.1.1.0 (LXIMICK)

I updated to latest 'stable' ROM 7.1.1.0 and my phone basically couldn't function. Kept getting a pop-up about some background process that couldn't run. I would acknowledge the pop-up and it would appear again within 2-5 seconds.
Had to download the Mi PC Suite and flash the phone to install the beta ROM. Damn...

Updating latest firmware Ver 7.1.1.0 (LXIMICK)

Just to take note when updating to the latest firmware via the system update.

The whole process might take about >20 mins, you will end up at 99% while in the mi recovery. If can just keep the phone running and PLS DON"T PRESS the power button to reset...

my girl waited for few mins and reset it, the phone end up in soft bricked (luckily still able to get the fastboot) and recovered up with Miflash...

Thanks for that feedback.
Mine didn't take so long.
But it seems worse than the previous version. My data connection would fail at least once during the day, requiring a reboot or switching on and off the aeroplane mode.

Every time i update firmware the camera becomes blur focus. Thereafter gave up. Now my phone remains the original firmware. Xiaomi firmware although comes out frequent but mostly cannot make it. Only gives people heart attack or inconvenience. I will never upgrade their firmware. Just buy cheaply and use the default os. Don't ever think of new fanciful features.

You are right. And their turn around for bug fixing is really slow.
