What Mi 5 model you using now? Mi 5 Pro (128GB) is selling for RMB2699 but because of high demands the price got really high up to RMB 4000+, maybe as time goes when Xiaomi's production gets more stable you may be able to get it around the price range of Xiaomi's RRP for it.

After few days of usage. I observed the following bugs.
On 7.2.8 Latest version. Stock untouched GLOBAL ROM.

*Solution

1) Wifi is draining battery badly and heats up phone at times *Go to wifi advanced settings and turn off scanning always available


2) Some random high memory usage bug. * Go to developer option and turn memory optimisation to high

3) Whatsapp delay notification * Go to permissions allow everything and battery management turn off MIUI battery management or add exception.

4) The 4th bug is the worse bug. I am only using 1 SIM CARD. However 4G is extremely unstable at times even slower than 3G. The only solution is to use 3G instead. I dont see any difference in speed in 3G or 4G unless sharing internet.

Got my mi5 64gb from new stat ytd.
Support 4/3G

Heard they got stock for 128gb and next week stock in. Qoo10 also updated with white.

Indeed. China ROM is very stable, especially after Stable Release 7.2.12. The latest 7.2.14 is even better.


I dont see the need for a Global ROM, unless u need multi-language support apart from Chinese and English.

Read that the global rom has alot of problems and bugs, so just a word of caution for everyone. At the moment china rom is more stable. 4G no issues as well.
