Denilson, so the 4g works if u flash the china modem to the global rom?? I'm still waiting for thr unlock to be approved.

Yea I'm using global rom with China baseband but I just find it hard to believe that Xiaomi will sell mi5s with 4g that doesn't work

Maybe people in India and hk mostly use 3g? 😂

Yeap, 4g works perfectly! Wish I knew about this when I got it.

4g works when on global rom, just that it is super unreliable

Not sure about India. But in HK (Taiwan too), you get 4G everywhere and signal is very strong. Unlike Singapore. 4G signal is typically weak compared to 3G.

What operator are you using?

Get export set then flash Global ROM :s13'

Sent from my Rice phone using GAGT

Actually I dun mind buy export set.

Although I not confident how to flash, I believe it should be quite easy as there is plenty of resources on how to do it.

My questions on getting an export set are:

1) will there be over-the-air updates of software subsequently?

2) how easy is it to install all the google services on the handset?

3) which is a reliable source to get the export set?

I am currently using a one plus one. Need a new phone w dual sim (4g/3g).

The one plus 3 seems a gd buy with similar specs to the Mi 5.

1) yes if flashed properly
2) if global rom is flashed , no need to do anything
3) see lazada ratings

I moved from OPO too!

OP3 software quality may not be so good considering how long it took OP2 to get a beta version of marshmallow
